Are you talking about a fan? Because that was out by plenty.

Yeah I was referring to the fan dropping it.

This offense with a dispointing Hoskins has been something. If he could get hot this month....

Seems like we've been saying that all season. In fact, we have been saying that all season.

Hip-hip-hooray!

3-run bombs are his thing!

It makes us all sing!

As of the other day Willy has more 3 run bombs than 4 teams

He had a 126 wRC+ over his first 156 PAs before getting injured.

From July 4th through August 10th he put up a 144 wRC+ over 104 PAs.

did I miss it or did they mention the rule about blocking 2nd on that Ortiz slide?

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Which is further proof that stats lie.

You can be in front of the bag if you have the ball. He had the ball and was waiting for Ortiz to come to him.

Just when you think you might get seven out of Freddy he starts to implode.

I wouldn't call it an implosion. He was ok. A lot of the staff is having a lot of outings like these, not their best stuff, just grinding to limit damage and get through 5 or 6. I wish we had called up another pitcher on September 1st, I don't think we really needed Brewer. I think these guys are starting to wear down and we need to start protecting the arms for October a little more.

I think we'll have to take 5 from Freddy today and be happy with it.

I thought you were limited to a certain number of pitchers on the MLB roster.

I have to give credit to Bauers. It can't be easy to somehow get to over 4 years of MLB experience/service time all the while being a less than replacement level player and still somehow getting more shots and more shots.

Oh maybe. The rules have changed so much over the last few years and you might be right, I honestly haven't been on top of that one.

Just looked it up and you're right, it's 14 and we're at 14.

So not even room for Milner or Mears, much less bringing up Misiorowski like we had hoped.
