What is the logical number of pitchers they will carry on the post season roster?

I think you have to carry 13

Can’t we give Contreras a break a catcher for a few games.    Maybe next week.   We have three damn catchers

The Brewers already extremely slim chance of getting a bye may be all but gone by the end of the weekend. I suspect there will be more rests given in the Pirates series where the games will be meaningless both for the Brewers and their opponents.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Then I go Peralta, Myers and Montas (in whatever order) paired with Ashby, Hall and Ross.  Should get six out of that and then the back end of the pen.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Yeah.   Rea is pretty much done

thanks for holding together during the season when we struggling just to field starting pitchers.    But he’s done this year

Haase still hasn't played since his great game in Arizona.

Maybe we're purposely throwing the series to vault Arizona to the 1st or second wild card team to avoid playing them in the first round. Murphy is playing 3D chess here.

Brewers hitting 202 in September with a 650 OPS which includes those back to back games in AZ.

Just have trouble putting consistent offense together when the other pitcher isn’t giving them walks.

Not surprising when you look at the starters they have faced.

The Cards, Rockies and Giants threw a bunch of mediocre guys out there other than Gray and Snell.

They just haven’t swung the bats well

I truly hope this isn't the case, but in some ways, Wednesday felt like the celebration of the season.

I don't know if these guys really believe that they're going anywhere beyond that this year.

So now we're freaking out based on 1.5 games?

I will only freak out if we get some major injuries.   These games don’t matter

I don't think there's anything to freak out about. It's just becoming reality that they will be playing in the Wild Card round and there's a really good chance that they'll never make it out on the road for the NLDS.
