1B/DH Wes Clarke to Nashville's Development List

Touched on this in a Link Report over the weekend. No room currently at the inn for Clarke, with all the other 1B/DH types on the roster, and Clarke doesn't provide the OF versatility that some of those other names do.

  • 1B/DH/C (?) Wes Clarke has been traded to the Houston Astros (reported in numerous places as of this evening)

Speculation is Shay Whitcomb. Which isn't too exciting but hey at least he can play the infield.

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Initially was speculated to be Whitcomb but that was wrong as he simply got called up to Houston.  We are just simply receiving cash in the trade, no player.

That is the likely return, yes, but has not been confirmed at this point.

Nothing has been announced, leaked, or rumored but I have a hunch that Tyson Hardin got promoted to AA and is starting tonight for Biloxi. Hardin isn't listed as a starter for Wisconsin this week. All of Biloxi's starters for this week are listed except for today. Hardin last pitched on 6/11 which would line him up to start today. We know Coleman Crow is getting promoted to AAA which opens up a spot in Biloxi's rotation.

That's awesome. Gonna be nice to have a game to look forward to tonight when the Brewers are postponed.

Bummer on Luke Adams. I was also confused as it seemed like he got the wind knocked out, and a few posters mentioned it didn't look like an arm injury. Kudo to Javik Blake (unfortunately this time) as he was the one mentioning it looked like an arm injury on the live feed - and it did with how Luke was holding that left arm. Still an odd collision. Hopefully it is a minor injury and he can get back on the field, as he was really heating up. Get better soon Luke.
