Sophia Minnaert just reported that Sal “added 25 pounds of muscle” in the offseason, and this coming in a game where he has already popped a two-run dinger.

Reportage like that is reputable and incontrovertible, so we can put the controversy to rest. Sal is one gigantic walking muscle, and will now set the club record for dingers. Contact your bookies immediately.

I'm good with Capra making this team out of spring training...

Don't care to see Monesterio any longer.  We know what we get with him, Capra just might be our answer!

So the 25 lbs of muscle puts him at a whopping 185 lbs now.

Monisterio 3 for 3 today with a stolen base also.  He is way better than last year and batting .500 this spring.

García up to almost 50 pitches. Is him and Alexander piggy-backinh an option?

I hope so because Garcia looked good today, better than Alexander.

When the Brewers signed Deivi Garcia as a minor league free agent, many eyebrows around the minor league forums were raised.

No one was predicting Cy Young, but Garcia, at 25, should probably get outside consideration for being one of the Brewers top 30 prospects.

He has too much MLB experience to still have prospect status.

I didn't mean literally. I simply meant that he's in the same ballpark as other prospects of note, talent-wise. He was #32 in FanGraphs Top Yankees Prospects in 2023, for example.

Yes.

Garcia was once upon a time a bigtime prospect with the Yankees. I saw him pitch a few weeks ago live against the Giants in Scottsdale. He pretty effortlessly dispatched 6 of the 7 batters he saw. If he puts it together at age 25 he could very easily be a "thing." Especially if the Brewers are a bit short or starters to begin the year.

@BrewersRice

Curious why you gave me the thumbs down...  Are you against Capra getting a chance?  Do you think Monesterio is going to be better?
