Milwaukee faced Brady Singer on 5/8/24 as a member of the Royals in Kanas City.

Singer went 5.1 IP allowing 5 H, 2 BB, 1 ER with 4 K.

Singer pitched 7 IP of 1 H ball in his first start at Texas on March 31.

I thought Elvin has pitched better than his stats indicate. Not too many walks. Have to imagine Thomas and/or Anderson see game action today?

Let's hit a dinger against Singer!
Let's hit another dinger against Singer!
Let's hit plenty a dinger against Singer!

E-Rod on the pitcher's mound will trod!
The skipper gave him the nod!
He will pitch like a baseball god!

Brew Crew win by Two plus Two plus Two!
The offense of Cincy will remain chintzy!

Sidenote for Brock if he reads this ... Is there a big bug with the ignore feature on this site happening? Still unable to ignore anyone... and now people that I've ignored are now "unignored" and I'm seeing all their posts?

I'm unable to go back to my peaceful days haha

I have found if you remove , and re-add, it works btw.

As for today - let's get above .500 to stay for the rest of the year :). I think Elvin will go 5 and bats will wake up - 8-3 win.

How worried should we be that our middle of the order bats have all been disappointing.

Hoskins .158/.360/.158. 3 hits (0 xbh)

Yeli .083/.267/.208 2 hits (1 xbh)

Contreras .074/.242/.074 2 hits (0 xbh)

I am sure they are pressing but having all 3 of our vet leaders starting out so poorly is worrisome. However to be 4-4 after that Yankees series is probably more impressive especially when those 3 guys start to hit.

0% worried everything in baseball is streaky.  They will shine when the hot hitters in March and April cool down. There are zero rules for when a player gets hot.

The Brewers have had countless eight game slow starts from catchers to start the season as measured by OPS. Not sure if that is comforting. 🙂

Not that anyone likes slow starts but I would rather have this than ending slow.

When I was in the military I thought the BCGs were hilariously terrible glasses. What he's wearing tonight..  might be worse.

Couldn't watch the FS1 broadcast. Felt like a subpar broadcast (not necessarily the commentators). Weird or questionable camera work.
