You can question the decision making (dominoes started with taking Patrick out a bit early for me) but Megill has to be able to get somebody out. It's mostly on him to me.

Started with Payamps who once again looked awful.

Eh Megill looked worse.  Everything was flat and very uncompetitive pitches.

One of the worst losses of the Murphy tenure. Maybe worst. Game manager Murphy blew this one early. Payamps should not have been in the game late. He should have been in Uribe spot if anywhere.

I'm not sure why we're so confident Megill would have done better than Payamps.

You never know, but when the pitcher is warmed up and ready to come in and then you sit him down, he may not be as sharp when he gets back up and is rushed into the game. And by then he has less of a cushion to work with.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I have no use for Payamps but McGill was terrible tonight too.

Reminds me of a game 10 years ago or so….Brewers up 5-0 in 9th in Arizona…and give up like 7 or 8 straight hits without getting an out and lost.

seems like this should be a playoff game.
