Biloxi batters are nine up nine down through three.

KC Hunt put up a pair of zeroes to start the game before going walk, HR to lead off the third, Shuckers down 2-0.

Luis Lara single and Cooper Pratt HBP got a little something going here one out top of four but a Brock Wilken strikeout and Luke Adams flyout put on the kibosh.

NASH keeps scoring a run an inning, this time with a trio of walks setting up a Raynel Delgado sac fly in the fifth.

After posting four zeroes Carlos Rodriguez has cracked in the fifth with two doubles and a single adding up to two runs in the bottom half.

He’s just walked Tim Elko to put runners in the corners two out for his 100th pitch as Easton McGee comes on to try to put out the fire.

Gillis is kinda interesting.

Up to three scoreless (1 H | 3 K) on the day. That gives him 11.1 IP with zero ER on the season.

Gillis has gone walk, single, K, groundout, walk to load the bases with two out in the ninth.

Comes back with the three pitch strikeout to seal the win and keep his scoreless streak alive.

Early cycle watch for Jared Oliva as he adds a homer onto his first inning triple to give Nashville a 3-0 lead.

Carlos Rodriguez has worked around a single and three walks to put up three scoreless frames (4 K) so far.

Oliva has low key been awesome for the Sounds. I spoke to it last night but, man he is just a really good baseball player. Absurdly fast and absurdly smooth.

Patricio Aquino kept Wisco in the game with three scoreless relief frames (2 H | 2 BB | 1 K).

Jeferson Figueroa on top of eight trying to keep it a 3-2 deficit.

Six of the Shuckers nine batters in their line up are below the Mendoza Line. Six.  Wooof.

I give credit to Wilken and his approach, and he rewards me with a bad K looking last night, and a 0-3 evening with 2 more Ks.

OK Brock, you are relegating back to the 'no prospect' list again for me.

Apparently that's true for most of the Shuckers - looking at you Luke Adams, and well Lara has 2 hits tonight per the box score.  And EBJ - you lost prospect status .... well about the time you joined Biloxi.

Biloxi - its the black hole where prospect status gets sucked in and lost forever, unless you have the shear force of a Chourio to escape it's gravity.

And what is going on with KC Hunt - I will watch his performance tomorrow probably, but he has not looked like the pitcher we saw last year in terms of outcomes/performance so far this year. Maybe too much expectations. Sigh

And Areinamo homers to tie it up for TRats - alright Jadher!

EDIT: Watched it. He just smoked a mistake. Pitch was belt high and a no doubter, 105 EV off the bat. Two pitches earlier he had a pop up to the left  foul line that just went into the seats, and he had new life. Then a ball low by Breault (pronounced "Bro" and the announcer is having fun with that), and the pitch after that just smoked. Huge hit. Tie game 3-3

And Garcia gets away with strike 3 call that is called a ball, with new life he launches it to left, but just gets under it too much and a deep fly out. With Wood on base, Hedbert GIDP to end the inning and rally. Dang, what a chance at a big inning. But Jadher gets the TRats new life.

That wind to left field giveth and taketh away.

Inning after Jadher launches a homer into that wind, Garcia just could not launch it enough.

The Lugnut hitter gets to left and Vargas can't get to it and it's a triple. Dang, then a BALK! The lead is back to the Lugnuts.

Yup - ready for it .... Lansing gets the lead back, oh nuts!

EDIT- dang it - I can't get the LF right. First I thought it was Hedbert, then said Garcia, but it was Vargas. Ugh I'm fielding as well as the TRats OF right now. 😩

Well after giving up the lead, and fly out to left that falls between Garcia and  Vargas, and then an out. But Figueroa walks the next batter, and former 2024 1st rounder Tommy White up. And a line drive right to SS E. Garcia right place and right time. Only a 1 run deficit.

Down 4-3 going to bottom 9.

Whereas there was a point during tonight's game where 11 of the 13 hitters on the Mudcats active roster had an OPS above .700

Hopefully Letson isn't hurt and they are just letting Flores start with Letson coming in from the bullpen because today was supposed to be his day to start and he's not a projected starter for any of the other games this week. Nevermind he's listed as starting Saturday! False alarm!

Letson has been sick...

And Guilarte pops out, and what should have been a foul but that wind keeps it in play and the 1B catches it, one down for TRats.

And Vargas up - needing to redeem himself. Lets go Jheremy!

Costello in for Biloxi and all his pitches move. He gets the first guy K. Then a bouncer back to Costello and his throw to first moves too much and pulls Warren off the bag.

Meanwhile Vargas draws a walk, So tying run on in Wisconsin.

It is getting intersting in Wisconsin.

Yhoswar grounds to short and the SS charges and tries to rush the throw and field it cleanly, and runners at 1st and 2nd with only one out. A chance for a walk off win here.

Meanwhile a caught stealing on a late steal attempt and Rodriguez to Pratt ends the inning.

Hall looks at a nice pitch, and runs the count full. Then swings at a pretty good pitch, and he strikes out.

Last chance is Blake Burke. Let's see if he can make some magic. C'mon Blake! Areinamo on deck IF you can get on somehow. Let's go!
