Murphy mentioned he thinks we will make a few trades... I wonder what he knows?   Jaire on the move?

Revel or Amos, Burch or my darkhorse Sourton would all be good picks.  Just hoping it isn't Green.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Our first two picks could be Green & Golden?

I didn't see that one coming...

Well, I don't love that one. I was really hoping for defense. But OL are like good pizza, there's always room for more. They always seem to be hurt, and a lack of depth at the position can get catastrophic in a hurry. Packers must really like him to take him there and they have been very good with OL.

They’re not giving the bag to both Walker and Tom, so a major investment in the O-line makes sense in a better a year early than late sort of way. But I hope both Morgan and Belton contribute this year, since we’re in a state of “urgency” per our GM. The time for impact is right now.

Dear Seth whomever... We all know wrestling is fake. And I doubt you are old enough to remember the last time the Bears were significant.

Thank you,

Yeah, that would be my issue as well. His whole spiel about competing now and even saying you need your draft picks to contribute, and that the time of developing them for 3 years is over...it's very unlikely that Morgan and Belton both start the year as starters. Probably damn near impossible. It's disappointing.

I do think it's funny when people claim someone is a reach. I heard all week Shadeur was the next big thing. I really doubt Belton was going to last to the mid 3rd if GB took him 54.

This is usually my thought, too. If the guys who make the lists that tell everybody what is a “reach” were even mostly right about these things, they’d be in the war room, not the studio or their basement talking to fans. Reaches no doubt happen, but I suspect they aren’t nearly as common as the media trains one to think—teams probably have good reason to suspect a player they like isn’t going to make it back to them.

Remember that we had Telfort and Glover playing significant minutes in the playoffs.  I'm not sure any player there in the 2nd round would've been starting this year.

I’ve wanted Green Bay to try power football, running identity and aggressive defense pretty much ever since Rodgers started to slide. Hafley is certainly more aggressive than our usual fare on that side of the ball (leaving aside the part about the player quality he is working with, draft capital aside), and now they’re clearly finding some big fellas to play on the line, which is also a step in the right direction. But I was hoping to see moves that close the gap between 11 wins and 14. I’m not sure Belton was it, at least for this year.

Chicago fans sure are a cocky bunch.

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

No, but starting on offense and defense are very different things. Starting on defense doesn't mean much outside of the secondary. The front 7 are constantly swapped around and rotated, if you aren't "starting" you can still play 1/3 of the snaps and be a major difference maker. The OL isn't doing that unless somebody's hurt.

Like I said, it's hard to get too worked up about OL; they have drafted them pretty well and there always seems to be a shortage of them. Just a bit tough to be excited about picks who aren't going to play this year unless something goes wrong.

I guess there is a 4-man competition for 2 spots with Rhyan, Walker, Morgan and Belton.

They’re the kid brother who finally got a taste of big bro’s Schlitz last year, and now they think they’re big man on campus.

Well, they do have their first one game winning streak against us in five years.

It would be interesting if NFL teams were required to show their draft board after the draft was over... Not that it would ever happen, but it would be interesting.

Seth Rollins is kind of a … yeah, but no one has been trying to pretend that wrestling is real in like 25 years. They’ve long embraced the “entertainment” label.
