Wow never heard so many whining goofs ever but I guess I never read game threads before 😂

Oh, but you have read them before. A lot. You whine in them constantly about people whining. I didn’t even need to look at the poster name to know who wrote the above messsge.

Priester is nothing at all. Really dumb to trade for him without trying the three pretty obvious in-house options first.

He certainly hasn’t been sharp the last few outings

Maybe he can go to Nashville & develop more for next year when we lose a few starters

It doesn’t seem like he’s ready yet to be successful in the majors

It’s not whining when you make observations about a team losing 0-9.

And out scored 17 to nothing over the last 12 innings.

He doesn’t contribute anything here, ever, other than insult other posters, and frankly, I’m surprised it’s still tolerated.

Priester is completely overmatched

I guess Murphy will let him cover as many innings as possible before he is sent to Nashville

This could be a long weekend … & season

Might as well at this point.

I guess Priester is gone after tonight and perhaps whoever else eats up the innings the remainder of the game

Yoho should be on the same flight to Nashville

both pitchers need refinement before helping the big league club

I could be way off but I picture him as a gangly, unemployed, coke-bottle glasses wearing, twenty-something year old, with carpal tunnel in both thumbs from playing video games for ten years - still living in his mom’s basement

The Cubs are going to end up running away with the division.  This Brewers team just is meh

The Brewers, Reds, Cardinals, & Pirates are all mediocre

Unfortunately, the Cubs are by far the best team in the division

I am just getting here and have no desire to go back and read through the game thread so if this was mentioned I apologize AND THIS IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR ANYBODY but I don't love the "opener" thing if you have a starter planned to come in after. If it's a bullpen game, then fine. Those guys do that. But let the starter have his routine. I know, I know. Just saying..

I think they knew it though.  I think they believe a window is going to open soon with some of the kids.  They committed no long term money and are just trying to get contracts off the books.  I'm not saying they purposefully punted the season but I don't think they are going to be upset if it ends up that way.

Outside of a couple games, it feels like Chourio has been slumping ever since the Rockies series.

He needs Murphy to “teach him a lesson” like he has been doing with some of the other youngsters

Especially Alexander, what kind of opener is that?

No argument here

Murphy is managing like this is a college team

I know this sounds easy to say after the fact... but when I heard Alexander was starting my first thought was "oh dang, I hope Priester didn't get whatever bug is going around.." and then immediately thought "no, Murphy is probably trying to do the Counsell thing and start a lefty so the Cubs load up on RHB and then switch to Priester after an inning or something stupid like that.."

I think Murphy out thought himself a bit.

The way they treated the off-season you could definitely make that argument. My thing is after having your guts ripped out in the playoffs your only move was losing your shortstop? The Packers lose the long snapper and there is hell to pay.
