Not sure what there is to complain about in today's game with the bullpen management.

Uribe should not have been used today. 6 time in 9 days and 27 times in 51 games is absolutely insane usage. He's also warmed up multiple relievers that didn't end up being used.

If you're going to use Uribe why the hell is Rob Zastryzny warming in the bullpen? There's zero reason if you're using Uribe that you should be pulling him for Rob Zastryzny.

I wouldn’t have pulled Patrick but going with Hall for three innings worked. But it was a little risky. If Hall goes out there and can’t throw a strike, you’re screwed.

Patrick absolutely sucks third time through the lineup.  Not taking him out on the third time through is a risky move unless you are up 10 runs.

Wait so now we are not complaining about pitchers being babied?

Uribe is too young and talented to pitch this often when Ashby hasn’t been used in a week and other relievers frequently warm up only to sit down.

edit: I missed Ashby quietly pitching the eighth inning on Saturday

Maybe he should be a long relief or piggyback pitcher instead of a starter

The inability to go six innings is killing our bullpen

The inability to go six innings is a fallacy. We don't have any big time inning eating guys in our rotation but our guys would be going 6 innings more often if our offense wasn't so bad. Patrick would have gone 6 today if we were down 2-0 or up 3/4 to 0 but because it was a 1-0 game he got pulled.

I get that starters suck the third time through but Murphy’s not going to have a bullpen by the middle of July at this rate. At some point, you just need a guy to throw innings.

Yes, but he’s pitched far less than Uribe recently

Glad it worked today

Hopeully, we have Ashby for long relief tomorrow when Murphy pulls the starter after four innings

It certainly feels like Uribe is our ‘eighth inning guy’ and come what may, he will pitch the eighth or ninth inning in a high leverage situation.

2025 Megill is just not a closer. Just not good enough at getting swing and miss in the strike zone.

He is basically Turnbow when he can't locate his off speed pitch.

He certainly can't go back to back days.

Have we thought of using a different pitcher after each pitch.   Then we can use  advanced stats as who does best when the count is 0-1 or 2-1 for example

lets just specialize the $&@“ out of everything     Change the game

A Brief Diversion: I listen to the games on MLB.com audio.  There is a frequent MLB advert/quiz about baseball slang.  Has ANYONE ever EVER heard the term "Oppo-Taco" (referring to an opposite field HR) in real life (by anyone other than Joe Buck, whom I confess to dislike irrationally)?
