Reynolds is having a blah season and really hasn’t lived up to the expectations for him early in his career. 

But, if he could hit against the Brewers every day he’d be headed for the Hall of Fame. 

He’s one of the reasons I don’t consider the Pirates pushovers like they were for the Brewers in some past years. He does much better against the Brewers than the league as a whole.

True, but he is a two-time All-Star selection so I wouldn't say he hasn't lived up to expectations.

All Star selections can come pretty cheap these days because of all of the players added to replace those who are injured or drop out.

One of those selections came in 2021 when he had an OPS over .900. I think what he has done in the four tears since then have fallen significantly short of expectations.
