And Contreras still sucks. Bad call on the first pitch and had to swing.

That strike call outside waa given to Miz in the first.  If the ump is gonna be crappy be crappy for both sides.

I just can not stand the Cubs, or their fans. UGH.

Any reason behind that comment, or is it the same reason you hate the Bears and their fans ??

I still can't believe there are Brewers fans in here who defend human ball/strike umping. That inning was dramatically changed because of 2 huge misses that went against the Brewers

Bigred, that you?

Is it bad to ask Contreas to sacrifice every time he comes up with runners on base from now on?

Is it bad to ask Contreras to sacrifice for the team by sitting his butt down until he is healed up?

Contreras' at bat was about the most friggin' predictable thing ever.

He just needs to sit and get healthy. Talk about predictable, Yelich once again rolls over an a ball and ends the inning. He too has done nothing since the break. Tough to get any offense going when you 3 and 4 guys are having a hard time getting the ball out of the infield.

Had Miz got the strike 3 call he deserved- 0 runs score. 19 less pitches in inning.

Yes, but Miz showed some youthful frustration and it got the best of him, too.

Oh and just beford I typed that, I seen runners on 1st/2nd. Contreras up and knew he's hitting in to double play.  He's got to be 1 of the most likely to hit in to a DP this season.

Wow!

That's bringing the thunder!

Dude, you are in the wrong place if you want logic when it comes to hating the Cubs.

C'mon.

That is a really silly question...

Well, Yeli hit it the other way and the guy made a diving stop, so I don't really blame him. Contreras, on the other hand...

While the broadcast was talking about Yelich's amazing on base streak they failed to mention that the last 7 games of that on base streak he hit .241/.290/.241 with a 39% strikeout rate.

That could be a while.

It was a super borderline 0-2 pitch. Wasn’t egregiously bad. He actually got 2 calls his way later, but the 0-2 pitch to Suzuki could have gone either way.

Blaming the score on that isn’t it.

Misiorowski is best suited (for now at least) as a late inning bullpen arm - especially with an innings limit. He will hurt us more than help us down the stretch if he has another game like this one. Our bullpen will be blown up in game one of an important series. Seems like management could have lined up our pitching differently for such a big series.

Knew it wouldn't be long for one of the human ump defenders to defend that terrible call. It was a clear strike.

Can the Contreras apologists please stand up

He definitely should at least be dropped in the order for now. 99% of Brewer fans would have felt much better with Vaughn or Durbin coming up after the two walks, and rightfully so.

Yeah.   That’s looking more and more likely
