Milwaukee is 33-22 against teams over .500. That is .600 winning percentage.

Milwaukee is 32-22 against teams with losing records.

Brewers technically perform better against good teams. By 0.5 game

6-0 against the Dodgers.
Only 4-2 against the Rockies.

better hope the Rockies don’t make it to October.

Back to back games giving up 10 and 9 runs respectively.    Leta get back to shutting teams down please

They had a guy pitching in the 9th inning last night that gave up 5 runs that would never pitch in a close game ... Easton or something or other is his name ...

Understand the sentiment, but last night’s 9 runs allowed were mostly in the late innings with massive leads - not great, but not too concerned.

I, too, was disappointed.  I'm viewing it more as separating the wheat from the chaff.  Unfortunately, McGee did not perform well.

I also understand that with a huge lead, you need to fill the zone.  Still, it isn't BP.

Was that a fluke or does he need to be sent down for another reboot in Nashville? That reminded me of a Tyler Alexander outing.

It doesn't matter ... he will never pitch in high-leverage situations.  That's my point.

This siegler playing time is crazy.

It's really not. He's looked far better than the production so far.

What is the deal with Murphy carrying pancakes in his pocket?  That was the oddest thing I ever seen and know he doesn't do that all the time.

adds to deflecting of pressure on the players. Being odd and entertaining is a plus. I see they already have t-shirt saying "Pat's Pocket Pancakes

I thought the exact same thing but we won 16-9 with 25 hits.  What are we deflecting besides maybe our new guy McGee and his poor relief yesterday.

Ok maybe its a t-shirt strategy but I don't think it was planned thing,  I thought he just over eats and pancakes will make you do that. Pancakes and sugar/carb burst not for a guy pushing 67.

I'm surprised the reporter didn't ask, "Is that a pancake in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"

In the days leading up to the deadline, I suspect Ortiz was wondering if he'd be a reserve come Friday. And Monasterio was probably thinking he may be in Nashville this weekend. They both looked great at the plate yesterday. How much of that was the lousy pitching & how much was a sense of relief & ability to relax a little?

I wonder how much of the 9th inning was due to Seigler being behind the plate. I doubt the pregame gameplanning as to how to pitch to their hitters had Seigler very involved.

Combine that with your last guy in the 'pen on the mound. Batteries matter.

I just knew that's what I was seeing! I just couldn't figure out how his numbers were so bad.
