I was always concerned that if the Brewers ran into a rough stretch it would be because the offense gets shut down. And it looks like that time is here.

This is 6 straight games with not much hitting. Can’t always count on opponents mistakes to produce runs. Their one big inning in this series was handed to them by the Cubs 27th player and Counsell’s decision to let the guy die on the mound.

I really miss the days when nobody knew about exit velocity.. now it becomes an excuse. Sharply hit ground balls right into the teeth of the defense by a slow runner have always been classic DP bal

We are seeing a break from an unsustainable historic pace combined with being able to use our bullpen in a luxurious manner because we have a large divisional lead. 

The Cubs have been throwing the kitchen sink at these games, we really haven't. We need to get some runs on the board and we shouldn't think we can throw this away because it isn't over. But it's really not that dire at this point. 

 

 

Maybe we should cut out the minor leaguer experimentation at the major league level at this point with Chad Patrick, Seigler, and Miz.
