Gray has settled in and has a pretty low pitch count.

Helps when ump calls out on strikes to the leadoff hitter twice starting innings. Who Hit a HR in between the 2.

I love the energy of this idea, and yeah, Ortiz has been brutal with the stick this year so there is a clear need. But there is absolutely no way I can envision the brass pushing Made faster than they pushed Chourio through the system. He deserves the time for everyone to be sure he's ready, and breaking camp with the big league club in 2026 just isn't it.

And as far as Pratt goes, he hasn't exactly lit the world on fire in AA so far, and his September has been particularly brutal.

Like it or not, this has run it back with Ortiz or find a stopgap written all over it.

I an all for a stopgap who can keep the seat warm. We have to question if Brewers will spend resources in that way. They more than likely will run it back and hope he improves. What makes this season all the more remarkable is it has been accomplished with one of the worst offensive players in the league.

I don't disagree, but I think he can give you an inning or two somewhere from inning 1-6. I wouldn't want him later than that and he can't go through the order twice.

He might walk the first 3 batters he faces in that inning.

I'm not sleeping on the cubs yet.  We have spot starters every game this series and then 2 series against potential playoff-bound San Diego and Cinci...

We have beat up the Pirates and Angels, but have looked lackluster against about everyone else in the past month

Brother, it's over.

Yep, we are not winning this game. Bases clearing double.

Those are game changing at bats.     We are not going to let Ortiz hit in those situations anymore.    I’m sorry

Lame.  Another series screwed up by a short Miz start.

That's pretty harsh - if Rob Z had anything tonight this is still a 1 run game and Anderson isnt also in this game getting shelled

I don’t think they’d be able to get to 94 wins if we forfeited every game the rest of the season.
