Well, it seems undeniable that the probability of injury is lower when resting compared to competing? 🤷‍♂️

Yeah the whole resting so you are ready for playoffs or September is garbage.    People get hurt anyways.    No matter how many innings you try to save etc.

honestly I’m tired of hearing it anymore

And, we are extremely lucky we have the horses to still meaningfully be in the race.

Peralta, Priester, Miz and/or bullpen/piggyback?

Ashby, Hall, Patrick, Myers, Gasser all have 3 IP potential.

Don't forget Hendo. I believe he is throwing bullpen sessions as of this past week. Would potentially be a huge late season re-integration for just this type of scenario.

It sure sounds like Woo is saying his season is likely over

Can you please post what you heard that leads to this assumption? That is frightening to hear.

No to Miz … even if Woody is out for the season

Woodruff’s interview didn’t make me feel good about his chances for a return. He said it isn’t career ending but…he stopped short of saying the next part.

Age is not on his side he will be 33 next spring training.

What do you mean no Miz?

He’s not ready. He has been a bad pitcher for months now. He’s gonna be great but I’m with Ed here. I’d rather see Gasser, Patrick, or Quintana at this point.

An earlier post suggested that Miz would be our third starter if Woody can’t pitch in playoffs

Someone has to pitch, no Quintana no Woody now.

Supposed to be healthy by NLDS though. I think the prior assumption was we didn’t need him. Now we might.

I understand … but that someone is not Miz … in my opinion based on his recent outings

We always have Jake Bauers then.

Not with Q having a pulled calf muscle.

Thank you … I saw the interview … I was asking about a specific sentence or statement from Woody that suggests year ending injury

I was more referring to his sentiments in the interview. He was clear he isn't committing to anything until he talks to his main doc but he sure didn't sound all that hopeful. There was a lot of defeated in that tone. Hopefully that isn't the case!
