Will love to see those Cubs fans sitting in great seats down that 3rd base line….well, I won’t.  But several here will be glad to know season ticket holders got top dollar so they can re-up next seasons !

I was at the Fourth of July 2022 game with the Victor Caratini walk-off.

Was on 1st base side 2nd level just above the fight in the right field bleachers.

I hope nothing ridiculous like that happens. Dude, there's kids here, elderly, railings people can be pushed over and fall 20 feet onto concrete.

I'm nervous as hell and incredibly pumped, but it's a game of entertainment at the end of the day

IF EVER this topic was relevant, it is NOW!

Yes, you have covered the dozens of people who both hold tickets for the NLDS and post on this site.

Still speaking truth…….Selly selly sell outs sell out PLAYOFF tickets to opposing fans.
And when all else fails, play the card that says well, it doesn’t REALLY matter THAT much because of the number of people the opinion applies to? The countless topics that are posted here….and why you pick this one to say one’s opinion doesn’t matter much? You could say that endlessly all the time!

Loge Bleacher Row 1 is not safe….easy and obvious fix. But it will take an incident to change.

Why can't Brewers fans buy the tickets?

They don't want to go as much?

I think people will be surprised by these games. There is a big risk in selling tickets purchased at presales. I anticipate the Cubs will have a presence, I think it will be less pronounced than a regular season game due to cost and the lack of tickets available for direct purchase once the opponent was known. Sure there will be some resale, but I think these will all be very pro-Brewers crowds.

There's a ton more purchasing power in Chicago.

Weak excuse. The games are being gouged like crazy right now and the price will drop a ton by the weekend. And even with that they are the price of a Packers game. If people want to go, they'll be there.

It does go both ways, too. Brewers had plenty of Wrigley representation for Game 163.

I'm more and more committed to watching the games on mute live. No point in letting the crowd noise get annoying in real time when you can enjoy positive outbursts already knowing the result.

You CONTROL 100% who you sell to. And you know this.

ONe way is to Brewers fans. Obvious choice for playoff game.

The other is a big giant guess bag….and you obviously know it. It COULD be Brewers fans is what you cling to with your fan allegiance, but it is a giant who cares. As long as you get top dollar, it doesn’t matter.

And that’s the issue. It matter to the Brewers (maybe not enough…I agree with an earlier insightful point of yours) and other countless Brewers fans who have lived with Cubs fans for years.

You think demand will be weak for Game 1?   Shouldn’t be any to sell….will be……but really shouldn’t be. Should easily fill stadium with brewers fans.

No you don't? You keep dodging this question. How is one supposed to know who bought the tickets? That is not how the resale sites work. You don't have any control over who buys.

Most people don't have bunch of acquaintances lined up trying to buy tickets. What if I have 3 friends interested and they all offer me $25? You really expect people to sell to friends at a loss because why exactly? To keep "true fans" there? 😂

When I tried to sell tickets for the Braves series to coworkers at face, I didn't get a single reply of interest.

It's a sporting event brother, not a Klan meeting. It's really not that serious if a few thousand FIBs show up.

Given your obsession with resale of tickets you should know that the price will peak tonight because the opponent was made official and the resellers are trying to capitalize on FOMO and trigger happy people who don't like to wait. The crazy-high priced ones won't sell and will drop to near face value as game time approaches. Game 1 might stay highish because it's a Saturday.

Both clubs are recently successful with jaded fan bases that aren't that excited for the first real round of the playoffs. You can go to this game for less than $200 if you want to. The purchase power of someone in Chicago is a lame excuse if our stadium gets overrun. The main reason will be that Brewers fans lacked interest. That's on them.

No dodge at all…..you don’t know who you sell to when selling on secondary market and YES U are responsible for that.  No dodge at all.  If you sell to other Brewers fans (try this site like another said), you know.
I obviously don’t want people like you buying up good seats only to flip them to a potential opponents fans.
And yes, sell them to Brewers fans at a loss so that you have less money to buy tickets. Yes a couple thousand times.

Main reason would be sell outs cashing in…

I don't have any tickets. For like the 5th time.

Nope. The main reason would be Brewers fans deciding they don't really want to go. This state has no problems packing Camp Randall to watch a terrible Badgers team, or the Packers every Sunday for years at higher prices even when they're crappy too. $150-200 isn't keeping Brewers fans away. Stop acting like these games are $5k a seat.

Both Packers and Badgers having recent issues with resale too......penalizing fans for being you with tickets.

And I really don't want to offend you or make you feel bad. Just disagree. You seem kind and well spoken.  I simply want Brewers fans at the ballpark...give them the inside track to get good seats to the game. Make it difficult for those thinking of flipping them.

How do you know that you’re selling to a Brewer fan? I just don’t understand where you’re always going with this. Are you going to interview them before selling to them and make them provide historical photos and videos of them in Brewer apparel actively cheering for the Brewers?

We all do. There are a lot of Cub fans who live in Wisconsin. Disproportionate to most other teams. Particularly in the southeastern Wisconsin area. There is nothing we can do about that.

I know Cubs fans who are season ticket holders for the Brewers.  I also know a Bears fan who is a season ticket holder for the Packers and a few Vikings fans who are also season ticket holders for the Packers.  Back in the 90's and the Jordan era there were a bunch of suburb Bulls fans who were season ticket holders for the Bucks.

Also the Brewers set aside X% of tickets for the general public and for the major ticketing companies.  Also not every single season seat holder is going to buy playoff tickets and those will go to the general public.  When I had season tickets for the Brewers you had to buy them in lots which was about the same price as a full season worth of games.  Not everyone is going to be able to do this and they will forgo those tickets and they will then become available to the public.

In reality it is probably maybe 1000 tickets that are sold from season seat holders on the resale site and even if you do a completely insane figure that it would be 70% Cubs fans buying these tickets that is still not as many that will be buying the general public tickets.

But this whining from someone who has said if you wear another teams hat you are not a true fan.  Also complaining about how people wear their hats.

If you wear your Cubs cap to Game 1, yes, you officially are not a fan of the Brewers. Treason.
