Cincy will be scoreboard watching like crazy.

The Mets have a magic number of 3 with 3 games left - mathematically, that means Cincy has a magic number of 4 against NYM.

But that's not all...Az is still in this, too. Cincy's magic number to beat the Snakes is 3. That won't matter if they can't get the 4 against the Mets.

NYM is at MIA, and AZ is at SD this weekend

 

ETA: Wouldn't it be fun to do some AI deep fake highlight videos of the Mets and D-backs games on the scoreboard to rattle the Reds? Or maybe do two highlights and have the crowd guess which one is real.

Do we plan to go into the playoffs with Bauers as our starting LF.

At this point, Collins needs to start getting regular at bats again, but I'm not sure Murphy agrees.

Oh, and while we are at it, let's bench  Durbin too.

The Brewers were playing there best baseball when Collins was in the lineup every day but that was before his baby was born. I would love to see him play the last 3 games of the season also, to at least see if he snapped out of it yet.

But to look at it from Murphy's point of view: Bauers batting .412 last 40 at bats with 6 walks.

Both Bauers & Vaughn are putting up some of the teams' better ABs recently, which is the issue.

Recent games, as well as the next few, might be used to answer whether they want Bauers in LF, or Yelich. Collins appears to be an odd man out right now but can be very valuable as a PH who can hit from either side.

One thing I can say about Bauers is that he has very good baseball judgement and defensively a very solid player.  In other words he doesn't screw up, I'm sure Murphy loves that about him and especially for the playoffs.

A thought while thinking about Cleveland's surge. Are both teams getting the Uecker benefit? Worst to First after 2 of your better players get sidelined due to an investigation certainly could be the plot to Major League 4.
