Blake Snell speculated to start game one. Ohtani game two.

Milwaukee has not faced Snell this season. Snell has 5.79 career ERA against Milwaukee across three career starts (2024, 2022 and 2021).

Snell has 1.26 WHIP and 2.70 FIP during this regular season. He will walk batters.

Ticket prices are crazy all over the board!

I bought 2 tickets via seat geek in Section 213 for $185 each + fees...

On the NLCS (direct from Brewers) this morning, seats in 210 or 229 were going for $300 + fees.

I think some folks maybe have their seats on Stubhub or SeatGeek and didn't update prices yet after Game 5 win last night?

If MLB were smart, they would give the Brewers 2 games right off the bat since we are outspent by the Dodgers to the tune of 3:1 ...

In Milwaukee's heart, where underdogs rise,
A crew once counted out now claims the skies.
No gilded payroll, no billion-dollar show,
Just grit and gumption—watch the Brewers grow.

They swept the Dodgers, six straight in July,
While LA blinked beneath a money-lit sky.
Three times their purse, a financial might,
Yet Brewers fought with unrelenting light.

Ohtani and stars in Dodger blue arrayed,
With contracts tall as palm trees on parade.
But Milwaukee swings with names less known,
A patchwork pride, yet perfectly honed.

From Vaughn’s first blast to Chourio’s walk-off spark,
They lit the fuse in summer’s fading dark.
No fear in their eyes, though odds were long,
They sing a different, defiant song.

The world says cash writes every October tale,
That depth and dough will always set the scale.
But here come the Brew, with heart and will,
To climb that hill, and climb it still.

For pennants aren’t bought on balance sheets alone,
But forged in fire, in moments overthrown.
So raise a glass to Milwaukee’s fight—
The underdog’s dream in the pale October light.

Not money, but mettle, will write this verse:
The Brewers believe—and that could be the worst
For kings of the payroll… when history calls,
It’s heart that echoes loudest in these halls.

House money from here on out imo.  Not surprised the Dodgers are favored.  I suspect Murphy wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm not feeling the house money idea. We have the best record in baseball, regardless of how much money we spent. We know how to win baseball games. Let's go beat these guys.

Yeah I'd love to see the Brewers win it all at least once in my lifetime.

A couple of ideas on the starting rotation. Of course, this assumes the starters pitch relatively well and don't have to be pulled after an inning or two:

Plan A - Mostly normal starting rotation on regular rest

Game 1: Priester, Game 2: Peralta, Game 3: Quintana, Game 4: Miz, Game 5: Priester, Game 6: Peralta, Game 7: Kitchen Sink

Went with Miz as the fourth starter over Patrick because Patrick has shown he can come out of the pen a whole bunch without a problem. Miz seems like more of an "every few days, more innings" guy.

Plan B - Bullpen games

Game 1: Priester, Game 2: Bullpen, Game 3: Peralta, Game 4: Quintana, Game 5: Bullpen, Game 6: Priester, Game 7: Freddy/Kitchen Sink

Can do a couple of scheduled bullpen games because they come before off days. Downside here is that you only get two Freddy starts if the series goes seven. Priester gets both of his starts at home.

Obviously, you would have Plan C and Plan D, plus branches under Plan A and Plan B, to adjust for different scenarios.

Could also employ openers in some games if there appears to be a distinct matchup advantage in doing so.

So after all that talk by MLB Network about starting to give the Brewers their due respect...

We are better as underdogs

The interesting thing is the Brewers only get home-field advantage in this NLCS series if the series goes 7 games!

Otherwise, an equal number of games are played at each location or possibly even more games in LA if the series only goes 5 games!

This 2-3-2 format is really no home-field advantage at all, in my opinion!

Come on, MLB!

Do Better!

To be consistent, the NLDS should have been 1-2-2 .... BUT the 2-2-1 format truly felt like a home-field advantage because the team with the worse record could at no point have more games on their home field!

Come on, MLB!

Use your brain!

MLB Network calling it the David vs Goliath series or the Average Joes vs the Hollywood Stars. There hyping it up that's for sure more than vs the Cubs. Two of the 3 hosts picked the Brewers.

2-3-2 is a huge advantage for us. LA has to win in 5 to clinch at home and not in front of our crowd.

Interesting perspective ... let me think about that, please.

Snell confirmed Game 1. Yamamoto Game 2.

Easier said than done because they both have great stuff...but make them throw strikes and grind at bats.  One of several things Dodgers pitching is great at is giving up walks in bunches.

They can clinch at home in Game 4 or Game 5!

We can clinch at home in Game 6 or Game 7!

Is that an advantage for us?

Let me think about that.

I'm not worried.

We beat them 6 out of 6 times this season.

I expect them to win 2 to our 4.

I wonder if Greg made it to Los Angeles, like he said he would.
