28-year-old right-hander Casey Mize makes his second career start against Milwaukee. Mize last faced the Brewers on 6/8/24 allowing 8 H, 2 BB, 5 R, 3 ER and striking out one batter over 5.1 IP. Brewers won 5-4. Mize has pitched well this season thanks largely to his splitter which he has used 30% of the time. The majority of what Mize throws is off speed. 

Chad Patrick had one of his best career starts last time out, needing only 82 pitches to complete 6.2 IP against Toronto. Patrick makes his first career appearance against Detroit. Chad has thrown a fastball 85% of the time this season (cutter, four seam or sinker).

Patrick with an era under 1.00 is being slept on. This guy has been great.

Can't believe they gave him a three-year, $51 million contract.
