You can play him every day in Milwaukee . He doesn’t currently have better option blocking him.

True, until Chourio is back.  The way Murphy uses his players Chourio, Mitchell, Frelick and even Perkins are going to get starts.  Once Chourio is back innings in the OF get scarce.

The bench being what it is, I thought Matos was a slightly better fit for the roster. You can justify Jones if he's at least fundamentally sound but he obviously hasn't been.

I can understand this logic, but if that is the case then it is time to try Eddys Leonard.

He's been playing LF a lot for Nashville.

Can play the IF too to add to the versatility.

Has some pop in the bat (3 HR's in the last two days) with decent HR numbers last year in AAA as well.

@BarremlensTSSCis correct in that Lara isn't going to come up here unless he plays regularly. If they wanted to make a change Leonard would be a better choice.

That Zerpa trade looks rough. I’ll take Mears back and they can keep the change.

Hated that trade at the time. I didn't care about Collins or Durbin, but Mears was extremely dependable.

Has there been any word about the reevaluation Chourio was supposed to have this weekend?

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Sounds like the reassessment will be Monday at the earliest

Braylon Payne went 2 for 4 tonight and hit his 5th home run of the season already.  Kid is 19 and tearing up High A  (OPS 1.250) while playing CF.  If you're in Wisconsin get out to see the TRats and Payne/Pena/Dinges/Fischer/Adamczewski before one or more of them get moved p.

Murphy continuing to trot Zerpa out there as a leverage arm when RHH are hitting him like they are prime Barry Bonds on double the steroids is extremely annoying.

They won't go with Ashby in the pen & DL Hall the only other lefty. Nor should they.

Drohan is in the pen. 3 LHP should be plenty. Zerpa can't get RHH out. Needs to go to AAA until he's back on track because tossing him out there right now if it isn't against a stretch of 3-4 LHH is basically asking to give up runs.

Yeps. Forgot about Drohan.

Ah.The report I saw on Yahoo (and attributed to McCalvy) did not include the word “after”, giving the impression that the evaluation would be.done over the weekend.

Red Sox part ways with Cora and 5 members of staff amid rough start to '26.

You mean winning a series over the Brewers didn’t save them?

I think Murphys' mindset was Zerpa had Cruz(L), Lowe(L & poor vs LHP), and then was fine with turning around Reynolds who is OK RH but with less pop. Whether he anticipated Ozuna hitting for Lowe I have no idea.

I'm sorry but a 5 year old could have anticipated Pittsburgh pinch hitting Ozuna for Lowe in that spot. If our manager couldn't see that coming it's a huge red flag. The point is you cannot keep using Zerpa in leverage spots when he's incapable of getting RHH out. He either needs to be in a low to mid leverage LOOGY type role or he needs to be in AAA.

He's an absolute disaster right now and is costing us games. Has giving up a run or allowed an inherited runner to score in 7 of his 9 outings in April.

No one on this board complains more than you. You just complain about people complaining, constantly.
