1st and 3rd with one out and you’re going to try to kill an inning by giving up an out?  Swing the bleeping bat

Doesn't kill the inning at all actually

Yeah, I just don’t agree. If the squeeze is on, okay. But it wasn’t.

At some point you need to be able to assume that an MLB hitter can hit a routine fly ball.

You'd think so but time after time it doesn't happen. I wouldn't have liked it with Chourio at the plate but fine with it with Hamilton

Why, Ortiz?

Gasser literally just standing there doing nothing instead of backing the play up.

Also a really bad attempt to block the ball and the pitcher is nowhere near backing up the play

Throwing the ball around like a little league team.

That was a horrible decision by Ortiz.

Can we just get rid of the left side of the infield now.   This is beyond asenine

Yeah, that certainly didn't help. That's something you learn to do in high school. Still shouldn't have thrown the ball though.

Gasser wasn't backing it up, true, but that ball should never have been thrown home.

Lame.

Someone should be telling Ortiz what to do with the ball.  He’s not watching the play.

He also knows that he has been responsible for most of the Brewers runs in this series.

So swing at balls? OK sure.

Lame.

And I’m sure it was communicated to him by his teammates…

I get it’s a spot start… but not super easy encouraging from Gasser.

He’s not a long-term answer for this rotation, that’s definitely true.

We also haven’t helped him out today at all, either with defense or with taking advantage of the scoring opportunities that we’ve had, that’s also true.
