You've seriously gotta love the DSL: Brewers Gold trailed 9-3 entering the 9th inning, but have reeled off 6 runs to tie it, with the bases still loaded and 1 out. This includes a Ricki Moneys grand slam and Josue Rodriguez game-tying double! Go Goldmembers!!

RF Jose Anderson has homered in 5 straight games and looks to power Low-A Wilson to a 2-1 series lead at Hill City. RHP Miqueas Mercedes makes his 8th start (9 appearance) - 4.61 ERA, 1.76 WHIP, 10.5 K/9 in 27.1 IP.

RHP Yorman Galindez had a solid last outing (4 IP, 1 R, 3 Ks) and aims to lead the AA Shuckers to a 3-1 series advantage at Birmingham. C Matt Wood has caught 22 innings over the past 2 days and is apparently up for 9 more tonight.

Is it possible that Matt Wood could someday inch ahead of Quero in the organizational pecking order? He has interesting offensive numbers to say the least, what with the HR pop & the absurd BB/K ratio. I know he has issues throwing out baserunners but the rest of his defensive game is considered decent, right?

Why did the DSL schedule a game at Las Vegas Ballpark?

Wood's 1.5 years older than Quero, which might work against him. But yeah, it looks like Kevin Martir unlocked an offensive breakthrough in late May 2025 which can eventually give Wood an MLB shot.

Marco Dinges probably has more upside than both players.

I would love to see his debut this weekend while I'm in the area... 🤞🤞

Same as I’ll be at the game Sunday however Sounds twitter already confirmed he’s with the team in Nashville still

Lara’s plate discipline is just incredible. Even on nights where he doesn’t hit I’m never surprised to see 2-3 walks.

It’s going to be a sad day on brewerfanatic.com later this summer when we have an injury in the outfield and wake up to the headline the next day “Brewers recall Akil Baddoo”

Quero in all likelihood is gonna be the opening day C next season and for the foreseeable future after. Dinges is just so bad behind the plate currently I wouldn't pencil him in until he can start to improve and develop.

You feel that strongly that the Brewers will trade Contreras this offseason? Honestly even if they trade Contreras, I think they would be looking for a catcher via trade/FA to at least split time with Quero.

I would be shocked if they trade Contreras. I expect them to go the same route as Adames

Do not love seeing this from Koenig. Velo was way down today compared to his season average and his season average is like 1-2 ticks below where he was last year.

He did a terrific job in (I think) his 2nd AB tonite drawing a walk after falling behind 0-2. And that's from his supposedly 'weaker' side. The traditional leadoff profile in MLB is out the window now, but even so I think he'd make a great 1-2 hitter; maybe 9-hole to start.

So, I am watching the Nashville game, and they forgot to cut away to Commercial break splash screen right away.   The Corona Lime wedge drop came on and just as it finished, they cut away.  I had 14 wedges in the can for any of you that care.  But I will never know.
