AA Biloxi have resumed their suspended home game from Friday against Columbus, tied 1-1 in the bottom of the 3rd inning. The teams will play a second game tonight after concluding this initial 7-inning contest.

The Shuckers have a half-game lead over Pensacola for first place in their division, on this the final day of the First Half.

Jeez. Fischer’s leadoff 4th inning double does NOT produce a run and then Rodriguez gives up a homer to open the 5th inning. Shuckers trial 2-1.

Rehabbing Jared Koenig has pitched on back-to-back days for the Sounds. Peaked at 95.6mph yesterday, 95.0mph today.

That’s often a key sign before being activated to the Show.

Luke Adams‘ third homer of the game for Nashville has narrowed the deficit to 10-8 with 1 out in the top of the 9th inning in Memphis.

Memphis can win the first half International League title if they hang on, given Rochester’s defeat earlier today.

Could Adam’s be an option at 3rd base for the Brewers or is the defense an issue for him?

My understanding is that he’s not as bad as Tyler Black was at 3rd base, but he’s also not a good defensive third baseman.

I assume Adams is a strong candidate to be traded, like Jadher Areinamo was last year. We’ve probably learned our lesson after failing to trade Tyler Black at the deadline some years back.

If he starts play a lot more 3B then I think it could be an option but so far he's only played 5 games at 3B on the season.

Mike Guerrero wants the first half division title for Biloxi, pulling Manuel Rodriguez after 31 pitches to give Cameron Wagoner the final 2 scheduled innings.

Shuckers lead 3-2 and need 3 outs to close it out.

Cam Wagoner shut the door via a game-ending 6-4-3 double play, which clinches the first half title title for Biloxi.

Even if they drop the second contest tonight and Pensacola wins to match them on win-loss differential, the Shuckers would still have the higher winning percentage. Congrats champs!
