I remember a heated debate earlier in the season when I said Freddy might not even be our #3 starter this season. Those were the days.

Garrett Mitchell might be the greatest player in baseball history.

His price tag is dropping faster than my beltline.

I don't miss the high pitch counts after the first or 2nd inning with Peralta.  Just plain maddening.  But, if he were to come back I guess I would be ok with it.

Peralta looks absolutely miserable out there.  Just a defeated man, having 0 fun playing a game he loves. Feel bad for him.

Apparently I’m heartless … I like your post except for the last sentence.

I think a return to Milwaukee would do him good. Get him in the pitching lab and rehab him. The Mets sure don't know how to coach anybody up.

If he could eat a few innings and take some of the load it might help get the youguns to the finish line without burning them out.

@edfunderburk If he would have left in FA and signed there I would agree with you.  He didn't have a choice to go there. Now next year if he looks miserable.  That's on you Freddy!

I’ve heard it takes a while to fully recover from hamate bone surgery. I hope Vaughn’s HR is a sign of his getting closer. If he can hit for power in these final 62 regular season games, I like our chances much more come October playoff games.

It just doesn't look right seeing Bonds as the home run king.

Hank is my home run king

Pratt might have a higher OPS than Yelich by the end of the game

I certainly understand & my comment was more in jest.

If I was a manager today's catchers would piss me off to no end with the reaching and trying to pick balls instead of blocking
