The Rattlers are struggling big time right now. They have not won a game since the all-star break and have scored nine runs in their last five games. Perhaps all of the promotions are finally catching up to them.

After yesterday’s rainout at Sugar Land, the AAA Sounds roll out the same lineup they’d planned. RHP Tyson Hardin (6 IP, 1 R, 2 Ks last outing) is ready to lead the team to victory and avoid an 0-3 series deficit. Rehabbing RF Brandon Lockridge makes his first appearance since May 8.

Peyton Niksch moving Low-A to Double-A as an UDFA is not talked about enough. He has had a fabulous season and continues to prove his ability to get outs has not been impacted by organizational ball. Big promotion and a big test. Here's hoping he keeps crushing!

Another pitcher who was NOT on my radar again.  With many of the bigger names injured or struggling (Meccage, Thompson, The ‘25 HS draftees mostly) I have lost sight of several pitchers having good seasons.  Niksch as a NDFA fits that.  He is undersized - probably why he was an NDFA.  But if he can become a swingman he could be another valuable option.  Again any scouting reports on him from our resident scouts?

Spencer has a nice write-up on Niksch in his Patreon. I believe it was a month or so ago? Because it is paid, however, I will not post it here. He's just a guy who knows how to pitch. He mixes his off-speed really well and can move into righties or away from lefties with real skill. Massive pull and dip on his slider and massive fade and sink on the change-up - his clear strikeout offerings. Here's his Brewers PD shine from late June:

I can't tell if the Chattanooga broadcaster is endearing or enraging. Doesn't know right vs left field, how many strikes a batter has, how to say any of the player names of even the players on his own team.

Blake Burke just hit his third HR of the night. One to RF, one to CF, and the third to LF.

Are all those scouts still in attendance?

Their current offensive roster is a shell of what it was on opening day...

Wait, he was moved to AA?  I thought he just got to Wisconsin?

Wow Biloxi with 7 HRs (so far) tonight. Burke 3, Ragsdale 2, Fischer and now Wood 1 each. Pitching struggling. But still wow.

I think there was an awesome diving catch by Adamczewski in the bottom of the 9th in the left-center gap, but the TV announcer said it was made by the right fielder, so I guess that's not what I saw.
