If all of our deadline trades look like this one I would like to see us stand pat from here on out.

Looks like Arnold went out to the bar and got drunk with the Guardians GM last night.

Heuer is nothing, not a power arm and hasn’t been effective in 5 years.

Naylor would be my 4th choice in preferred catchers to play behind Contreras, Sanchez, and Quero.

Is there something I'm missing on Naylor? Former 1st round pick but hasn't hit at all in the majors. Heuer's been around awhile and his numbers aren't all that great either. Very weird trade.

Interesting. I deep down knew Yoho wasn't long for this team though I liked his potential. His changeup just doesn't tunnel how they like. Good luck Perkins and Yoho. Trust the Arnold.

If anything, he can't be any worse than Sanchez at ABS challenges, so it sounds like his days as a Brewer are numbered. And we do get rid of Perkins so there is that. Much to the chagrin to Murphy.

Or maybe not with this new news.

I think it’s probably just minor league depth for this year and a backup option next year.

I mean, it would seem like he would be on the block now.

Contreras only has a year left on his contract I believe. Not much in the system after Quero as far as being MLB ready so I think they just wanted another option.

This has the feel of a precursor move reshuffling the roster and creating space before a targeted reliever gets added, especially if one or two of the guys coming here from Cleveland don't have to be put on the 40 man.

Creates 40 man openings I think. Lochridge should be activated and Stallings can replace Yoho.

Did you mean on the 26? They had to use spots for both Naylor and Heuer. I think they still have vacancies on the 40 though.

Which do we think...

Gary Sanchez going in a deal with multiple teams looking for catching at the deadline?

or

Jeferson Quero moving as a piece in a bigger deal?

For whatever reason I think we were always higher on Yoho than the Brewers were.

His CH didn't tunnel with the other stuff. Like at all it was far too slow too as elite as it looks. He still didn't get a fair shot to try and make it work IMO.

Change up artist with spotty command of other pitches. Low ceiling

With multiple teams looking for catching and RHH power bats, Sanchez may be a somewhat hot commodity in the next couple days.
