Honestly Gary Sanchez should be opener for Misiorowski

Could you imagine seeing 30 mph and inning later 104

What a game.  I said it Saturday night after the Brewers beat the Dodgers.  Stuff is getting serious and they were going to beat Skubal.   What I was seeing since late July was the garbage that got them swept out of the NLCS last year.   Perhaps the Brewers got that out of their system over the weekend.   Need to have a clean week here at home.  I saw they can do it.  They woke up and they need to stay awake.

Probably at least an hour rain delay in Chicago.

So the White Sox might not blow this one until tomorrow.

Who had Laras' 1st big league HR being R vs R?

What I liked was the performance from Mitchell & Hamilton w/the bats, Yelich going deep to RC after almost all of his hard hit balls lately going oppo, And after Joey Ortiz moved to 3B & turned in magnificent defense, going back to SS and being just as magnificent. Also Harrison continuing to look healthy, maybe not super-sharp but pretty good. As long as he & his catcher(s) can stay one step ahead of the hitters regarding use of the slurve he's very tough.

I know Lara was laughing about the HR being off a position guy... But low key I hope that unlocks something in him. Doesn't matter who it is off, having one leave the yard has to feel like something. Maybe he loosens up just a little and swings freely.

Tonight’s game raised the Brewers RPG since June 10 from 4.27 to 4.63.

I was thinking given his recent run he would be a candidate for high leverage spots with Uribe still on the IL👀

Right! And I know this is tongue in cheek, but for anyone who doesn’t know, you can only pitch position players in spending circumstances (late blowout games, basically)

Not that this is worth anything per se... but that game just gave us a huge leg up on securing a Top 5 scoring offense for the season. The Braves/Rockies/Sox have to make up about 30 runs now the rest of the way.

Oh, for sure. Regardless of how it was attained, when you're a young'un & you look at the box & see 3-6 with 4 ribbies it can definitely help. I just don't want him losing the plate discipline through all this because that can be an elite part of his game.

I didn’t read through the thread……..did we avoid any vitriol in IGT tonight or do we need to win by 23? 😎

Might not be able to pitch Sanchez tomorrow after using him in a blowout. Murphy doesn't know what he's doing.

We still have not guaranteed a winning season yet

We only scored thirteen vs 'real' pitchers.

Rodriguez throwing the ball in the stands after the 2nd out padded our run total.

Why do switch hitters usually bat R/R against right handed position players? Like what’s the reasoning ?

I think switch hitters typically just hit on whatever side they prefer hitting from when facing position players

I don't know if they historically do that or not. But if they do I would assume the 'better look' you get hitting R vs L or L vs R is then mitigated somewhat, and you WANT it to be mitigated because you have to wait what seems like forever for the ball to get to the plate. Also you don't have to concern yourself w/a breaking ball.

Other than that, I dunno.

I wonder if it is a power thing? If you are just taking high pitch softball swings maybe you just pick your stronger side?

Lara hit as many home runs from the right side as he did the left in AAA this year in roughly 30% of the at bats.

No idea, just a guess
