The reverse splits thing makes sense... I was wondering if Pratt was going to get the day off regardless given how he was wincing his last trip around the bases last night.

Can you remember the last time we won a game like that.    Usually when we score a bunch the pitchers still do their job.    Like the last couple of nights.     I don’t remember the last time they won a high scoring game

One of my favorite pastimes … along with the Northside website that is affiliated with this site. I never post, but I enjoy reading when the Cubs lose or play poorly.

Cubs now only 5 games up on Arizona for the last wild card spot. Brewers have a chance to do something really funny in these 7 games against them in the next week+..

If the Cubs WERE to miss the playoffs ... Whitefish Bay might be getting one of their residents back full time.

I'm guessing Uribe is ready soon. Are they planning to activate Romero when rosters expand? Are we thinking Naylor also? 3 catchers makes sense.

Feel like we went a little far with this lefty heavy thing. I understand Bradford has significant reverse splits, but it’s a pretty small sample — he had traditional splits in his previous two seasons.

Doesn't feel like Vaughn should ever be sitting against LHP.

Yeah, with two RHP after this it feels like he could have gotten a rest day in either of those games maybe. Vaughn has started 21 of 25 August games by my count - which feels about right given how he is swinging  the bat. I agree the optics of him not starting tonight are a little funny. Curious if there is something else to the puzzle.

I do this as well. Was hoping for spicier takes today but they seem pretty docile.
