I think there might be some disagreement about whether May was the best pitcher available at the deadline after Skubal.

The next best available pitcher is pitching for the Cubs tonight. The difference between he and May is quite wide.

You think you can hurt me? I watch Wisconsin sports. You can't hurt me.

Even Gausman is better than May and he cost a hell of a lot less than May,

That was my point. May might, or might not,  be better than Gausman.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

We also got shut down by Mahle who has been pretty good for the Braves.

Cant throw strikes with offspeed, not hitting 96 or commanding = getting shelled on a warm night wkth the ball jumping

As soon as I saw the forecast for today and knew they had a sinkerballer going, this game looked like an L.

Wonder what the heck this team did saturday night after they beat the rangers, too

I don't want the Cubs in the playoffs. Too much power

This will always be our undoing.  Ability to put up crooked numbers consistently

See you tomorrow

I was going to turn it on but I checked the score on mlb.com and decided I've got work to do.

Between Harrison just grooving it, Hamilton being unable to react quite quickly enough, Bauers burning a dumb early challenge, Frelick and Hamilton NOT challenging, and Mitchell getting thrown out on the bases, it sure looks like the Brewers haven't gotten off the bus yet.
