I remember watching B.J. Surhoff walking off Cleveland in 1995ish.  I was with my mom, dad and two brothers in the County Stadium bleachers.  There was a fat old guy sitting behind us, he came back to his seat with like 6 hot dogs in his hands, forgot that he had two hot dogs in his back pockets and sat on them and we all heard "Aww, man, I squished my hot dogs."  Literally everyone within ear shot started laughing because it truly was the funniest thing ever and my dad was pissed and thought we were all disgusting for laughing.

Watching Pat Murphy talk to Lara really shows what type of guy he is. You have managers and you have leaders. Pat Murphy is a leader. I would love for the #whitesox to be like them with just one extra power hitter. The #brewers could win it this year.

So much to gush about in this one, maybe the most fun, unlikely, exhiliarating win of the year. I'll mention some stuff that hides in the margins (comparatively):

Yelich extending the game to get to Chourio after falling behind 0-2 & then refusing to chase. Second day in a row he's done that.

Hamilton keeping the tag on Suzuki, on a play where some guys might've just swiped & not gotten the out.

D L Hall looking like dammit, he might actually be for real.

After the winning hit, the first guy to bear hug Lara was Sal Frelick.........just raw positive emotion towards someone who's going to be cutting into his PT. That's why you gotta love this group.

IMO, Misiorowski needs to get back to putting the secondary stuff at the knees or below, when he does go to it. That wasn't happening early on. He DID rely more on the FB than his last couple-few times out, which I liked.

Not real concerned about Megill just yet. A guy having an MVP-type season got to him yesterday, and today there was an INF hit mixed in, along with a K that wasn't a K due to our Challenge Incinerator. Let's face it, this is a team that can touch you up. Let's see how he looks vs Cincy.

I remember feeling good for Money when the team reached the WS in 1982. A solid veteran who spent five years with the team BEFORE they even had their first winning season. Played all four INF positions here, & played 'em all really well.

I kind of eluded to it earlier in the thread.  Take Counsell for instance.  He’s weak.  He’s always pacing, always stressing out, always looks absolutely miserable.  That’s not a good leader. 
You wouldn’t want to go into battle with a guy like that.  Murphy might not be the best baseball manager but he’s the best when it comes to leading his club.
