It’s beautiful. My wife & I attended the game where Yount got hit #3001. I scheduled a trip three weeks out & projected he would get #3000 in Baltimore. He did so in Cleveland two nights earlier than I guessed.

My dad tells the story of having been there for Yount's 3000th hit, so I think it had to be in Milwaukee.  (My dad's a pretty honest guy).

It’s the playoffs. Nobody starting the season thought the Crew could match up with the Phillies and Dodgers top three. From my perspective nothing has changed. Same as last year. Phillies will have to win a series and pitching will be depleted.

I really didn’t think that anyone was going to put up a major counter argument to the point of “it would be really nice if May pitches well tonight so we have a reliable 3rd starter in the playoffs,” but okay, sounds good.

All in favor say aye

Using "Robin" Roberts rules of order tonight.

Seems appropriate considering he finished his career in Baltimore.

Consider the source.  If your only intention on this board is to cause problems, it tracks.

Oops … original post edited … to say against Cleveland

Murphy said they are going to try Harrison again.    At some point there has to be diminishing returns of destroying his confidence.     I wouldn’t mind it if he was good again next year

That is such a great story. I grew up in a town of about 10,000 in Wisconsin. My dad and I listened to it on the radio. Those are the moments that baseball sticks with people.

Actually, that whole thing was my bad.  I regretted posting that one second after I hit "submit".

All is well … my wife & I attended the 9/11-13/92 series at Camden Yards … she was expecting our first child … that son is now 33! We stayed with her aunt near Baltimore. That was Camden Yards first year. It is a beautiful park.
