I don’t believe that was an option or Skubal would be in Milwaukee. The Tigers demanded Henderson. Arnold wisely said “no” to that requirement. 

Skubal has been good, but a Henderson has been exceptional as well - & he’s a Brewer for five more seasons.

That said, having lived through the era where the Brewers did actually lose 100 games 10 years in a row (maybe not literally 100 every year, but close), it would be so hard to go back to that, to the time when the Brewers were just summer background noise, an MLB afterthought.

Being relevant every year, being in pennant races every year, is amazing. I guess it’s a journey versus destination argument.

I hear you there too.  I’m 48 years old and my first real baseball memory was Kirk Gibsons homer in 88.  I lived in England until we moved to Milwaukee in 1989 and became a DIEHARD Brewers fan ever since.  Been through my share of brutal seasons but I’m willing to go back to that for a championship.  That feeling of winning it all would be worth it to me.  I don’t like the NBA so the Bucks Championship didn’t mean anything to me.  The Packers Super Bowl was amazing but baseball is it for me.

It sure didn't seem like we'd need to do a bull pen/piggyback start in the playoffs THIS year, but it is looking more and more like that is exactly what we'll need to do every 3rd game.  Maybe you just give GASSER the #3 spot, and have others piggyback on him.

Man, you just can't have enough starting pitching come playoff time.

I think you need to stretch Patrick out a bit too. Not all the way but maybe so where you can get 3-4 innings twice in a series.

Just plan to start Gasser for 3-4 innings, Patrick for 2-3 innings, then whatever you need to do after that.

So Miz, Henderson, and Gasser/Patrick is the rotation.  If we need a #4, then I have no idea what we'd have to do,  GROSS.

I would not. The Brewers are 6 months of entertainment every year. I wouldn't the enjoyment of professional baseball for a world series.
