Game 5 - Bears @ Packers - Sunday, Oct. 11th @ 12:00 PM

That was a necessary win, as much for the record as it was for the vibes. But hopefully nobody in Green Bay is getting high on their own supply. It’s going to take more than a (highly satisfying) beat down of a bad defense and some bad backup quarterbacks to declare this ship righted.

But it could be a start. We’ll know in a few weeks. I kinda doubt it, though.

What the Packers did today to the #Bears:
• 5 turnovers forced (3 INTs, 2 fumbles)
• Packers offense had six 30+ yard explosive plays
• Held Chicago to just 7 points.
• Jordan Love: 25/31, 367 yards, 2 TDs

I see Ben Johnson is a lot more cordial at the postgame handshake when he gets his ass whooped.

The take below is separate from MLF, not comparing the two at all because i think MLF has more than his own share of issues.....

Ben Johnson is incredibly overrated, IMO - he'll wind up lasting quite awhile in Chicago because he acts like a prick and their media/fanbase will eat it up...but he's the NFL's version of PJ Fleck

Another Achilles injury :(

Too bad from a depth perspective. Hargrove was not much but they’ll literally be shopping on the street for a body for the DL by tomorrow afternoon.

I would tend to think losing Hargrave is losing a Vet presence with some pass rush upside - yes, it's an obvious loss - but it is losing a player where they actually have some young depth. They need some healthy news on Brinson/Campbell/Riley. If they get any news there they will be able to stop gap this reasonably well. To me, this just isn't remotely the caliber of losing Reed and Cooper - tho, it obviously sucks to see anyone go down for the season filling a key role in the playing rotation. Maybe I'm wrong.

Guess that league record for points is safe

Dennis Sutton was everywhere

I didn't understand it the day of the Draft. I still don't understand it. BUT, man pairing DDS with a healthy Micah?! Whewwww.

I got home about 2.5 hours into the game.

Saw that the game thread was only three pages.  Knew that I had nothing to worry about.

Yeah, pretty weak IGT this week.

You think you can hurt me? I watch the Packers in January. You can't hurt me.

When you get days like yesterday at this time of year you're trying to soak up as much outdoors as you can. We spent the day hiking at devil's lake so I didn't get to watch a single play.

Today my legs feel like I played in the game.

I was at the game. Bears fans were very quiet, with the exception of one lady who yelled, "Good call!" over and over again after that phantom offensive pass interference against GB. Then she left after the 3rd quarter.

My two sons and I drove to Milwaukee for the Brewer game and listened to the game on the radio.  I miss Wayne and Larry (MN bans Packer Radio waves from crossing the border).

I watched the game on replay after the Brewer win yesterday.  Great weekend!

I'm not sure what CHI has for DB, but I'm surprised that they played so aggressively against Watson and Golden.  Love's kryptonite is a deep cover shell and having to dink and dunk his way down the field.  They did us a huge favor by going man most of the time.
