Turns out this was genius level play calling.  He knew Lafleur would instinctively go into kill the clock and play for the fg mode killing any chance we would have of winning the game.

When the network's #1 broadcast booth and its official in the booth are taking huge segments of crunch time in the game broadcast to break down multiple terrible calls against one team instead of the actual plays happening on the field, there's a huge problem with officiating impacting game outcomes in a way they never, ever should.

 

Doing that in between endless sports gambling ads makes it pretty obvious what the problem could include.

The kicking game has been crap ever since Crosby left. Every other team can find a kicker. The Packers, no shot

This roughing the QB BS became a thing with Clay Matthews vs. the Vikings.  I am not saying they were the reason why the Packers lost.  That is due to someone SMACKing us fans in the face.   Wasted a stinking pick on this dude.
