3 outs away from the title and I expect people to be fired up about losing a game that crappily. But sorry, I am not gonna get on this "Miz had to be out there in the 12 inning of a series you're leading 3-0 when he's likely the SP the following day" wagon. Everyone making that argument knows deep down it's a stretch with tremendous downside.

Unless Trevor gives up a Homer to Aranda or Hicks

Would have been much better off having that happen. Then you have a completely fresh Ashby for game 5.

We'll find out Saturday I guess.

The Wisconsin sports PTSD is real and holy hell am I feeling it.

To be so close and lose like that is so deflating.

I will take that bet. It won’t go seven.

Thinking I'd love to see Vaughn get a start tomorrow and have Bauers as a PH option against a righty late in the game.

I also don’t want to see Ortiz play at all anymore this series - keep Hamilton at 3rd no matter what the game situation.

Miz should get the ball tomorrow, and let him go as long as he's effective - let the Rays scramble drill a bullpen game and put it to them early and often.

What part of the Brewers this season makes you think they will lose four in a row?

Not Brewers per say but 4th and 26 and Brian Bostick have left some serious scars on top of the refs in the Duke NC game and our other spectacular sports implosions.

I still think they get it done but it's by no means a sure thing.

Why wouldn’t you put your ace and cry young winner to close it out? Stop playing for tomorrow when you had 3 outs to get for the WS win

Ashby/Uribe etc is different

Look, I’m not predicting them to lose the series, or even tomorrow, but this is silly:

1) they’ve already lost one, independently they only need to lose 3 now, not 4

2) any team can win 3 games in MLB at any point of the season

3) they’ve did lose 4 in a row twice this season.

if they win this series, which they still should, it’ll be because they earned it, not because losing a series that you’re up 3-1 in is some impossible task,

oh he is? I'm glad you know that's how it would have happened, lol. I'm sure you wouldn't be the first guy calling for Murphy's head if he came in and lost the game.

Well, can’t guarantee it but likely more reliable than your crystal ball that was utterly calm and confident that we had this won in the 7th and would be popping champagne by 10:15.

He is not likely the SP the following day if we win. I think you are missing that point.

Murphy played for tomorrow when you only needed 3 outs to win and not have a tomorrow

If the games tied completely understand going with Drohan but usually when you play passive stuff like this happens

The feel good story of Woody being on the team won’t feel so good if they blow this thing.   Patrick should have been on over him.

The series is absolutely losable but that is entirely on the players and nothing the fans or message boards do is going to play a role.

You can lose 4 games in a row in April, July and yes even the World Series after winning 3. It's completely plausible they ride a high to 3-2 and then all bets are off. It was there tonight and we blew it.

The vibes have definitely changed.     I can’t watch see a lot of dudes squeezing the sawdust out of the bat tomorrow.   Guys can’t make routine throws in the infield.    We will see what happens.   But that gives Tampa a lot of life

Tonight was worst possible outcome.

Stop being a douche. Not really what I said. You're mad we lost. It's ok.

Murph will never do it, he loves the Bauers story too much. Same reason Woody’s on the roster over Patrick

Don't think I'd go that far but it definitely wasn't great. JoJo, Hall, and Megill should all be full go tomorrow. Ashby and Uribe both likely available for an inning. We are starting our SP on 4 days rest compared to Tampa's 3.

I had no plans to be until you “lol’ed” me and accused me of calling for Murphy’s firing if Miz blew it tonight, which, JFC, give me a little more credit than that.

Pen for tomorrow looks like Ashby (I never count him out), Megill (Uribe role), Romero, Harrison, and Woody.  Not ideal.  Need a deep game from Miz.

At first glance you'd like to have had a Uribe or a Megill for the 12th. But really, the usage tonight leaves us in a better spot than TB for tomorrow, BP-wise. It didn't work because Drohan was poor after Ortiz set the table for them, but I get it. I assume there's now some clamoring for Patrick to have made the roster, despite his blowup vs STL, or Anderson. Hard to argue with that.

It's a little weird, being one game from a World championship with the way the defense has, at times, struggled.

I think it's going to be about as interesting as you can get to see what Cash does tomorrow re his pitching after using both Jax & Martinez. Might have to go back to Rasmussen on three days.

Caminero sure didn't look good heading off the field.
