Sometimes I think *everyone* is unbalanced.

I bet if Branyan hit into a DP suddenly people would complain that he didn't strikeout.

All the Branyan lovers can now hide in a hole. Take that OPS crap and shove it. He is absolutely horrible. I could get the clown out. Throw at his eyes and he's whiffing. He is NOT the answer. I have been consistent with that the whole year. PATHETIC....and you 3TO nutjobs are just as bad as Branyan himself.

Yeah, that's a warning for you bucksman. Berating posters for having a different opinion is NOT ok.

That AB was a prime example of why K's matter. If he hits a ground ball or a fly ball, they might score a run there.

I guess that settles that. Thanks!

That's a complete exaggeration of what we're saying, and you know it. Someone says that someone who can't make contact hurts the team, so you provide someone with zero power as your argument.

Thank gosh Overbay didn't K there! That popup was SO much better!

But I thought all you had to do was NOT K to score a runner from third? Wha...t happened?

just when I thought I had this K thing figured out.

If only Branyan made contact like Bill Hall did! And like Overbay did! Look at how that scored those runs from third!

Making contact does not ever gaurentee a run.

I've already provided a million stats for my "argument." Some people have proven they could give a crap about any stats. I could write a thesis about the subject and the next time someone k's they'll say, "See, K's are BADDDD!"

There is no argument here, just angry people.

So what if Overbay hit a sac fly there? Would it be the same as a strikeout? You don't make any sense.

The point was that he didn't. If you want to play what if's, what if the catcher missed the ball when Branyan K'd? Than the runner would have scored!

K's are good!

Yeah right, because that's what I was saying.

Overbay- .269

Lee- .270

Nothing against Carlos but you dont like to see that. As Lee is more of a power hitter you would expect his average to be lower than Overbay who is more of a contact hitter. Just goes to show how much O has struggled as of late.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif

I'm fine, I haven't called anyone names or anything like that. I just don't see the argument that a deep fly ball, grounder to the right side, etc. is no better than a strikeout in that situation.

2nd and 3rd, nobody out, and we score ZERO.

<>

runner on 2nd nobody out....

...now continue as ususal...

I clearly disagree with all the guys that

1) SAY our RISP batting is not a mental problem, rather a lack of talent

or

2) PROVE (try to with numbers) that our RISP batting is not unusual

I will say until the cows come home... if you are league average or ABOVE with R not ISP, but you are bottem 3 WITH RISP...

THAT IS A PROBLEM

Let us not ignore it.

Why would anyone want to ignore it.

Let's fix it.

How?

I dont know!!! But that does not mean the problem does not exist!

Nobody ever said it did. Nobody. So nice try. However, one thing is for certain, striking out always guarantees you won't score the run.
