Does anybody think that Gwynn or Gross should be up instead of playing Mench versus RHP?

 

We have at least 2 outfielders in AAA that hit RHP better than Mench. Why not DL Wise and bring one up if Hall is gonna sit?

 

Yeah I really don't like having only 4 outfielders. I'd prefer Gross but either one would be better than Mench vs righties.

Yeah a 5th OF would be nice. My vote would be for Gross as well.

Graffanino in the OF with Counsell at 2B would be better than Mench vs RHP. I hope that Yost hasn't fallen in love with another Mench hot streak so we'll see him for another month based off of 4 games.

I get the feeling this is going to be a long game with our bullpen already stretched to its limits and Vargas out there. I liked him a lot more before he regressed to the mean.

Well, guess we gotta hope the Cubbies lose again. Seems like we've been in this position many times recently. Unless of course a miracle occurs. That bomb by Prince was a good start, but Claudio isn't done giving up runs.

Exactly. He's the sacrifical lamb tonight. With on off-day Thursday we can skip/push back Vargas' next start.

With an off-season this off-season, hopefully we can push back Vargas' next year as a Brewer. This guy is terrible, and has just been lucky to be only so bad thus far.
