Usually I will watch the sunday afternoon brewers game over the packers anyway, but i am interested to see what people are going to do since they are on at the same time.

I have many options including

1. watching the brewers flipping to the packers during commericals

2. going to a bar so i can watch both

3. watching one on tv on mute with the radio on.

i will probably do #1, what is everyone else doing?

Hadn't given it much thought, but probably watching the Packer game, with the Brewers on the radio (and my finger hovering over the 'last' button on the remote).

I'll be watching the Brewers live and reading about how many points the Packers lost by in the JS on Monday.

Ouch. I will be clicking to FSN then to Fox and then using the "last" button quite a bit for about 3 1/2 hours. Im very interested in the Brewer game since we are in a pennant race, but Im also very interested in the first regular season Packer game because I feel they have a chance this season. Should be a good WI sports day.

It's tradition for me to watch all the Packer games w/my Dad at his house... but this year it may have to change and I may end up going to the Bar for the first month of the football season.

So when they got young and struggled you gave up on them?

Three years ago is the last time I watched a game. I haven't followed much for around 10. Are you suggesting I'm a fairweather fan?

The first game I remember watching on TV was the '60 championship game though there may have been some before that. Not even sure if any were on TV before that. I was a big fan as a kid during the Lombardi years. I stuck it out during the Bengtson, Devine, Starr, Gregg, Infante regimes. Sometime at the end of the Holmgren years I just started getting sick of the Packer hype, the Packer blitz type news reports and shows, the deification of Favre, the excessive on field demonstrations and strutting after touchdowns or defensive plays, a bunch of players starting probably with Michael Irvin. I just lost interest in the NFL over a few years and don't find it entertaining anymore.

I gave up on the NBA in a similiar way starting about the end of the Moncrief era.

But baseball is forever.

Am I wrong to say that it depends on what the Brewers do tonight and tomorrow? I've got Sunday Ticket, though, so I will probably watch football and follow the Brewers with a combination of radio and gamecast.

I 100% agree with this assessment. I loved the Packers but the over saturation of team on tv, on the radio, in the papers...it drove me away. I haven't watched a Packer game start to finish in probably seven years.

None of the above. I'm going to Chicago to watch the United States play Brazil in an international soccer friendly. But of course I'll be getting Brewer updates on my cell phone via Google.

I guess I was suggesting that. I apologize, Im a huge Packer fan but do agree that the media hype is a bit much. But Im still into them almost as much as baseball and the Brewers.

Brewers, no question for me. Not a huge football guy anyways, plus it's the first game of the season for the Packers and the Brewers are tied for first place with three-ish weeks to go.

Packers by a long shot. I can actaully watch a football game and lose track of the three hours that it took because I'll just get hooked into it. Baseball doesn't do it for me. Night game, another story most likely because their is nothing else on.

Easy for me. The Green Bay what?

I think one reason why I began following the Brewers in 1982 was to have an interest that was different from the majority (in the case of sports, the Packers). Over time I reasoned that the NFL hardly needs me as a fan. Then I lived in Green Bay for a couple of years and saw the uber-hype first hand, and I got pretty much burned out on the NFL.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Well I've decided that if the Brewers play like they have tonight tomorrow then I'm going with Packers live and Brewers on DVR.
