I also wonder if a weak double play is the product of trying not to strike out. A lot of guys are better hitters if they don't worry about Ks. Billy may be one of them.

I wish this was the case, but he is still striking out at an alarming rate. So if he is trying not to K then that's just another thing he isn't doing well this year.
