What does God owe me?

Posted

After Hart hit that home run in Atlanta, I promised God I would volunteer at a local homeless shelter for a win. That didn't pan out, but I don't want to tempt fate, so I'm going to the shelter anyway.

Now that I'm almost done with my mourning for the season, I'm left wondering what God owes me to make up for the Brewers' failure.

I figure at least an NFC Championship game for the Packers and a Rose Bowl for the Badgers, right?

(I'd also ask for a Bucks playoff berth, the Cubs out in the NLDS, the Bears not making the playoffs and another La Russa DUI arrest, but those seem to be a given.)

If there is any creedence to this theory, you will have to wait until after Christmas to find out what you deserve. In the meantime, pass the Soup.

There won't be any money. But when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.

So he has that going for him.

Honestly, God owes you 6 burgers for 5 dollars.

I knew this avatar would come in handy one day.

I would have thought that the mere presence of the Cubs in the postseason at the expense of the crew would have proved that god doesn't exist! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Maybe if the Brewers won and made the playoffs, you'd die in some freak playoff related accident. So maybe you should just go to church every Sunday and thank god he kept you alive instead of asking what he owes you.

It was announced yesterday that He sent playoff appearance rainchecks in the mail last Friday, so you should be receiving them soon. I got mine yesterday, but found that they don't specify an expiration date.

You get the experience with working with people who are really in need. It's not just good for them, it's good for you too. That kind of stuff really helps you learn a lot about people and understand why we really need programs like this. You also realize that there are great charities out there and it's not just a big fundraiser for nothing. I trust non profit organizations a lot more after having worked for a few.

Thanks for keeping everything clean and fun guys. I just figured I'd put in the obligatory "yes, the word God is involved, but it's lighthearted so nobody turn this into religious discussion" warning so nobody trolls and gets mad when they're reprimanded.

Clearly, there is only one answer to the question... and it is...
