  1. Ha Ha being cute with mini-camp. Normally I wouldn't care, but the way he's acting rubs me the wrong way. After the year he had, new DC, etc. he hints around he wants a new contract??
  2. They didn't blow it, crickets from the chicken little crowd. Shocker. Why is it more fun for some fans to be miserable?
  3. Me either, I enjoyed it. 1-0, every ab mattered, what if the ball is hit to the pitcher in the of, fun stuff. Time of game means nothing ro me.
  4. 2018: 14 appearances, only 1 with more than 1 base on balls. So what, stats schmats. If you predict they're going to blow a game every time, eventually you'll be right and be able to say "See, I told you so."
  5. This isn't 1952, nobody knows how to bunt anymore. Should they know how? Yes. But it's not just a Brewers problem, teams bunt so infrequently that when they need to lay one down they struggle.
  6. Not in blue, this is a reality check. In this scenario, who was the option at this time last year? That's right, none other than our lefty specialist Drake.
  7. I still think Braun saved a HR. There, out of my system for the rest of the day.
  8. working against burnes is a full 40-man and not being on said roster. as mentioned elsewhere, alec asher is also being stretched out as a starter, so there are plenty of starting candidates with mlb experience. Yup, I agree. That's why I listed Burnes last, as I really doubt they would add him to the 40 for a couple starts. If they really wanted to see him pitch a game, they could, that would be the only reason- and not a very good one given they have other options.
  9. What's working against Perrin is he doesn't give you anything you don't already have. Torres-Costa and Ramirez are both LHP, and I wouldn't think twice about DFA Logan trying one of those guys in his place. So I don't see not being on the 40 being an issue. They're giving it more time, which is fine, but they can pull the trigger on this move any time.
  10. Peralta is the most obvious choice, but who knows they have seen him already, may want him to continue working on his command, etc. Wilkerson, Houser, and Burnes are all options. Wow, not bad at all for your #7- 11 SP. I've come to believe having SP depth like this is more important than the "Ace" or "TOR" starter we talk about all the time.
  11. I keep seeing references to this big difference in FB velocity between this season and last. Per Fangraphs, his FB averaged 93.7 last year, it's at 93 this year. I haven't dug any deeper yet, but pretty sure he started off last season a little lower in velo as well. So yea, I think he is ramping it up a little but it doesn't look like it's much different from last season. Key for him, IMHO, is locating the curve. When he can drop that hammer for strikes, he looks Ben Sheets-like.
  12. When your late inning B team is Williams and the good version of Barnes, that's pretty sweet.
  13. Eye Black, thats the still I was looking at also. If Brauns glove isn't there, best guess with that trajectory it makes it over. Otherwise it hits the yellow line. But no way is it 3 or 4 feet down the wall. Why does it matter? It doesn't.
  14. Yea, because 80 Captain Obvious posts about how Arcia is lost is so much more interesting.
  15. I just watched in slow motion again a couple times.. His glove was just over the wall when he caught it. Either that, or my eyes are finally shot.
  16. Wait, some people don't think Braun saved a HR? He caught it above the yellow line.
  17. Chase gonna take this one to the house I'll take it, but we'll see Arcia hit for the cycle before we see a complete game from anyone.
