  1. David densons power looks intrihuing
  2. Mike fiers is terrible.. That is all
  3. yeah, hard to find any optimism when the team is 5-22 in May
  4. im seconding the 0-27
  5. i would trade Gomez and Gallardo... Gomez value will not get higher---right now people think the sky is the limit on his ability. They are wrong---once he establishes his "new" baseline stats, his value will go down...also, Gomez is the most likely on the team to suffer a catastrophic collapse---which is another reason he should be traded Gallardo should be flipped at the deadline---hopefully he nets us a couple 50-100 type prospects Aoki should be traded because his advanced age suggests he won't be the same player in 3-4 years when this team is ready to roll, likewise, I think having him under control for half a decade gives him really nice value. He's one of the top lead off guys in the NL...He's no Choo, but he's up there... Aram does have value, but he's kind of expensive and old...i wouldn't be surprised to see him packaged with Yo... Honestly, I can see the team trading Aram and Yo at the deadline and a bucket of relievers... Anything beyond that, especially involving the hitters, will likely be after the season
  6. Pena looks like a disaster waiting to happen... Unfortunately, peralta is a disaster happening Figaro was a starter prior to this year... Put him in the rotation... We are 20 games back... Lets see what we've got
  7. I see no harm in giving Figaro more innings...he's looked pretty good and everyone else has been terrible
  8. Truth Time: Logically, I know that Rickie Weeks, even in current state is a better player than Bianchi...I also know that Weeks is a very streaky player and that he certainly hasn't totally lost it Emotionally, the team is 10 feet under water and Weeks is screaming "Dive, Dive, Dive" at the top of his lungs. I want ANYONE but him playing second just because it makes the part of me that enjoys watching grown men play a child's sport happy. So, as it sits right now, I want Bianchi to play everyday...If the team starts winning games, then I probably won't notice if Weeks comes back in.
  9. i was implying that fiers could go back AFTER his start on Sunday, assuming they just hold Gorzelanny back a few more days
  10. my guess is that they will send fiers down unless Lohse goes on the dl... could send down burgos as well
  11. I'm not ready to give up on him completely, especially since the guys we could replace him with have been markedly worse (alex gonzalez looks done)... But... He needs an extended rest---Bianchi should be starting for the mean time... Weeks is on pace for over 200 k's with no power this season...I know he turned it around last year, but that was only marginal in comparison to the earlier days of his career...watching him right now, he looks like a player that has regressed a ton...he reminds me of Andruw Jones after he left the Braves...all of the problems he had suddenly became magnified to to the point where he clearly wasn't a starter any more I just can't stand to watch a 6-7-8 of Weeks, Yuni, and Gonzalez right now...or ever...the only way to score as few runs as the brewers have with 5 ( or 4 when aram sits) of the best hitters in the NL at the top of their lineup is to ruin it by playing those fools
  12. "Here come axford, I'm going to turn the game off" - me, every time he comes in Axford shouldn't be in for high leverage situations at all, and that's on the manager
  13. I don't have any explanation for this, but the same thing happened to Mike Trout. His 2011 season was pretty "meh" and nothing special. Just like Segura last year. I don't know if my anecdote means anything but it's interesting to dream about what might be happening. see above
  14. i think he is saying that Greinke out pitches Segura...so far!
  15. this is a terrible comparison, but i'll make it anyway---- look at Trout's 2011 mlb stats, then look at 2012... now... look at Segura's 2012 mlb stats, then.............
  16. That all of his homers have been to center or right has been the most amazing thing to me...if he started to pull the ball with the same compact power he's shown the other way, he could be a 25-30 homer guy----with his hit skill and his speed, he could be an mvp candidate....unreal. i don't know how to project this guy...he's been able to do anything so far this year
  17. definitely the religion stuff
  18. Was that Lopez's best pro outing? Mitch Haniger looks ready for brevard
  19. seems like there would have already been a thread on this... Brewers really need to send down Lalli and bring up Chavez. What if one of the first 5 shortstops gets hurt?
  20. Auggy mentioned in the broadcast a couple of nights ago that it seems like Yuni is just sitting back and waiting for the pitch he can drive still not walking at all, but the number of "rolled over it" grounders to short has gone down
  21. Congrats on getting published in such a renowned source!
  22. last year Pujols combined offensive WAR was 3.8---Prince Fielder was 4.8 Aram came in at 5.8 so, the Brewers got Pujols+ for half the price and a third of the commitment...Aram was the best free agent signing in 2012 based on WAR, and was 14th in all of baseball i'm not counting on aram to be as good, but he was worth 20 million last year so, i'd say his contract is felony theft if he stays in the ballpark of what he did last year i mean, crap, missing april wouldn't have hurt him last year either
  23. my favorite thing so far is that i was disappointed we didn't get profar... man, right now I'm stoked we didn't get him!
