  1. i'm slowly recovering from my 67,000 heart attacks... my wife told me that she was sa she was going to have to watch me go through that again!
  2. dangit...good bye nice seats to game three in atlanta
  3. go giants---division down, homefield to go..
  4. wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  5. IT MUST BE THE BRAVES FIRST ROUND. because i already have very nic seats for game three, which should be the only game the braves and brewers play at turner field, as the braves get knocked out... if it's the dbacks or phillies, i will be sad
  6. I think the biggest point to pick up here is that people really don't like gamel---really, really don't like him---and whether or not we think they are being fair, it's obvious Mat isn't going to have a future in milwaukee...If I was them, i'd not wait around for him either...he's gone... Gindl's got a lot more to worry about than improving his small ball skills, namely an all-star playing both of corners in milwaukee i like don money---i like this approach---i mean, this is the kind of stuff i wish we could find out and here it is...so, if you've always wondered why gamel's not in the bigs, here's your answer, everyone hates him and wishes he would lose wait, show up on time, be less dumb, and lose some weight, besides, quit whining...there ya have it!
  7. Should add -- gindl, manzanillo, merklinger will add -- gindl and manzanillo... i think merklinger can help the team out of the pen next year...we'll see
  8. Don't see Brock as a cf in any way, but other than that, I think there's some pretty decent stuff there... unrelated, but we're headed that way...i seriously doubt the team totally dismantles...i think their goal is perennial contender, and that will mean signing greinke and maybe marcum and trading for or signing a prince replacement...i dont think the team will enter next year after hopefully a nice run in the playoffs with a guy they don't even call up in september as their first baseman
  9. Josh Prince jumped out at me too...he's was rough last year, but did well this year...with nothing worth mentioning in front of him, he could easily be in AAA in has age 24 season, which would be as good or better than everyone we got excited about this year besides peralta and gindl Green and Peralta are no doubters to me for the year... biggest surprises: Brock!, Fiers!, Walla! Biggest suck-ises: Every top 6 round draft pick first baseman ever not named prince fielder, declining k rates, and no innings pitched from our twin power 1st rounders
  10. My guess is that they hate Mat Gamel...seriously...they want nothing to do with him in the majors... I think it's pretty clear he isn't replacing Prince next year
  11. Im pretty sure that's what corey hart and casey mcgehee dressed like in high school....
  12. i was looking back through old posts (waaaaaay old, circa 2007)...and it's surreal that we are finally having this conversation with taylor Green in the bigs... The first time i ever saw him play was in 2007, and honestly, i called him over before the game by saying, "hey Kenny!"...which he responded to, even though he was not, as i figured out later, Kenny Holmberg...Taylor hit two jacks that day That said, it seems like we've been comparing him to jeff cirillo forever and it's just really cool to see him finally make it to the majors and succeed like he has been... now if gamel could just make it up and produce...i swear he was drafted in the 90's (well maybe not, but i definitely remember toby declaring on draft day in 2005 "mark my words, by the end of the year gamel will be our top 3b prospect...)
  13. i watched this whole game on mute while ive been watching uga get beat by boise state...and i did not notice this...apparently, i need to work on my perception skills
  14. re: corey Hart... he's been consistently in the top 20 in ops for quite awhile...if he had as many ab's as braun and fielder he'd be in the top ten in hrs too...it's hart to say he's not a very good if not great player
  15. i want the phillies to keep the best record...i want the brewers to play the braves for strictly selfish reasons, namely so i can go watch a playoff game in atlanta in a brewers shirt
  16. he's looking for his minor league equivalent...which i think had been in the call up taylor green thread a few times...check there..
  17. Braun's leading the league in slugging, ops, and runs, is second in batting average, and top 10 in every single other offensive category...he's having the best season in the national league...the only thing that could stop him would be a huge cold streak in septmeber, or a huge hot streak by fielder... or, if like Brian mccann hits .750 with 10 bombs and the braves catch the phillies
  18. i think they'll send dillard down and bring up taylor green
  19. well deserved...congrats taylor---the nicest guy in the system
  20. Mike Fiers would like you to know that he considers himself a prospect
  21. this has been mostly true for awhile...but Taylor green is 5th in batting average and 4th in ops in the pcl...that's unbelievable.
  22. I think that number similar to what greinke will get...
  23. i think this is a 92-93 win team...i'd love the steam roller to continue...but i feel there will be like a 5-10 streak in there somewhere
  24. Lucroy as a 22 year old was in A and A+ and hit a combined .301/.377/.495/.872. Gindl as a 22 year old is in AAA and is hitting .300/.386/.470/.856True, but Luc catches and showed substantially more power...i will buy the age thing for a slight difference, but not enough of one for me to believe Gindl will suddenly develop the ability to slug for .500 in the majors...especially since I'm much more impressed by Luc's Brevard numbers than anything going on in Nashville this season...He gets on base more than Corey Hart, but i doubt he becomes the kind of hitter hart has in the majors...The truth is, he just doesn't project very well...and the lack of power spread out over his career says he's going to be a .750 to .800 corner outfielder...which is good, but not a difference maker
  25. with both hands at the same time...while laying down a decent sac bunt
