  1. Pack it in boys, no sense in even playing the next games.
  2. All drugs are unbanned and legal for the entire time from the 3rd out in the 9th until the close of the game. All of them.
  3. If I take anything from the pitching strategy last night its that they don't view Q as a legit post season starter at this point in time.
  4. How does that work with the pitch com now?
  5. I can't believe Vaughn would be that expensive given his overall body of work. I would think they would keep Bauers based on his second half and relatively low cost.
  6. I almost want to see Uribe and/or Megill get an inning tomorrow with the time off as opposed to throwing everyone after Quintana in G3.
  7. Informal poll...would you rather have the 1 seed and guys going hard until the end, or the 2 seed with a well rested team. I know which I would pick.
  8. My knowledge of baseball is stuck in 2019 when I had my first kid, but back then it was common place not to have a SP increase their innings more than 25 IP from the previous year. I feel like this started after Dusty Baker destroyed Mark Prior and Kerry Wood and I remember first reading about this practice when Dontrelle Willis was shut down his rookie year in the playoffs. We obviously have better analytics now that we did 10 years ago, so is there a new metric in place or best practice for building innings for young pitchers? Miz threw 97 innings in 2024. By old standards, that would mean he should have been shut down at 130 IP if we are pushing it. It looks like he is currently at about 123, but I continue to see internet posters talking about his post-season role. Shouldn't he only be getting 1 or 2 more starts? Have the Brewers addressed this?
  9. I wonder how he would do in a closer or setup role. Especially with McGill on the IL.
  10. Sorry, but how does being OCD effect this? It seems like this is just what every fan would want.
  11. Are they staying in Chicago and getting poisoned by the hotel staff or commuting down each day from home in MKE? (not blue text)
  12. I wouldn't mind.
  13. I can't wait to see everyone trying to see as many pitches as possible against Skenes. Let's get some deep counts.
  14. Yeah, I'm very sure that LoCain was nicknamed Low Battery-- which is hilarious. And I always heard Podzilla for Podsednik. Finally, this list left off my favorite (for sarcastic reasons) nickname..."Hollywood" Royce Clayton.
  15. He tried to make some changes to his swing if I remember correctly. It seems like trying to make improvements completely broke him.
  16. Anecdotal, but I think this has more to do with the leagues attitude towards addressing controvercial issues. My perception is that they could have done more for player safety when more CTE studies started coming out. I also swore off the NFL indefinitely after the DeShaun Watson stuff. Of course, then Jordan Love got really good so I came back.
  17. Even with moving to the pen, I don't think Miz has the innings left in the tank to play into the playoffs. I'd like to see what Ashby can do if given a single inning at a time. We have enough options for long relievers with Meyers back and DL Hall pitching so well.
  18. When was the last time they had the best record in baseball outside of the first 2 weeks of the season?
  19. What's crazy and exciting to me is that in these games against the Dodgers, while we are hot, we also are clearly the more complete team in all facets of the game (besides slugging). I don't know if that will continue for the rest of the season, but if the playoffs started today, this team would be an incredibly difficult out in any length series.
  20. To be fair, the people making these decisions have much more information and medical knowledge than we do.
  21. I was there. To me it was more of a "how did nobody have a contingency plan for this" than anger at how it ended. I got to see 12 innings of the best players in the world. Hard to complain about that.
  22. 1-3 weeks just before the 4 days off for the ASB is about all you could hope for. Maybe he just skips the road trip to stay home and rehab in time for the Marlins/Cubs series.
