  1. Big NO to Urias. Big YES PLEASE to Bauer!
  2. Yeah, the daily game of "is he healthy enough to start" and IL stints just don't interest me.
  3. I simply don't want to spend the money it will take to get Chapman, even if a deal similar to Hoskins. I have faith in Tyler Black, if we have another 15-18 million to spend in 2024, lets use it on a starting pitcher, free agent or via trade.
  4. Again, Burnes will not be traded at the deadline unless we are out of the playoff hunt. I'm not sure why people keep posting this. The above is my opinion, not factual.
  5. DVD collection update: Dumped: 1. Bad Girls - Female cast western. Just not a very good movie. I almost can't believe I had it in my collection to begin with. 2. Bachelor Party - Man, I used to think this movie was hilarious back in the day, and there are still some serious classic lines, but it wasn't as good as I remembered, and I just don't need to see it again. 3. The Bad News Bears (remake with Billy Bob Thornton) - A decent remake, but just doesn't hold a candle to the original. No need to keep it when the original is available to watch instead. Kept: 1. Bad Moms - Love Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell, and can't remember the name of the other lead actress, but this movie cracks me up. 2. Bad Moms Christmas - See Bad Moms above, same deal. 3. The Bad News Bears (Original) - An absolute and complete classic! Probably one of my top 10 movies of all time. Nostalgic and hilarious. 4. The Bad News Bears Breaking Training - Didn't suffer the sequel blues... LOVE IT! 5. Bad Santa - a Foul and disgusting movie at times, but I can't turn away... 6. Bad Santa 2 - same as the original. 7. Bad Teacher - I'm a Cameron Diaz fan, and as a retired teacher, this one hits home often. Funny and entertaining. 8. Bad Times at the El Royale - Love this one! Lots of surprises and unexpected scenarios and solutions. Great movie! 9. Barbershop - Hilarious early 2000's flick! 10. Barbershop 2 - Another sequel worth keeping in the collection. 11. Basic Instinct - Famous for a specific scene which is much more clear in the dvd format than the old school VHS. If you know you know... 12. Basic Instinct 2 - Keeping it only because it goes with the original... Wasn't as good, but still enjioyable.
  6. Do tell, I might be going to this next week, but not sure it's worth the time... So...
  7. The thing everyone always seems to ignore about Polanco is, the dude can't stay healthy. Hurt all the time. Not a chance in hell I'm moving Burnes for a guy that would look good in our line-up, but just can't stay there. It's easy for an article writer who is a Cubs fan to want to give away guys like Black, but Brewers fans actually know his value. I'd pass on both scenarios, I hope the Brewers would as well.
  8. A. Chapman's deal with the Pirates is one year, 10.5 million. Glad we bailed on that mess.
  9. Deal was for one year, 11 million with a 1 million bonus if he makes the opening day roster. We couldn't do 12 million? *sigh* Glad we got Hoskins at least.
  10. 100% this. People feed him, blast him, then complain when he comes back even harder. Makes no sense. I'm not defending him, although I 100% support people being allowed to share their opinions, even if I don't agree with them. To be honest, it's mostly the people who post here's fault for his behavior... Keep poking the bear and all that...
  11. He is also in the heads of a lot of people here, actually mentioning him before he showed up. lol Then when he shows up, the arguing begins, like clockwork.
  12. I know "that" just as much as you know what you were saying... Geez.
  13. All those hassles will not draw in the young viewers, they will find other ways to spend their time. By making it harder and more expensive to the die hard fans, all they will do is begin to alienate them.
  14. I think that "all in" comments are in reference to keeping Burnes and Adames, even though their contracts are up after this season...By not trading them, it feels like we are all in on one last run with them!
  15. I mean seriously, this just feels good!
  16. lol I hope he moves off the depth chart.
  17. So happy to be wrong on this one...I gave it a 1% chance and I thought that was being generous. A couple of thoughts: 1. This is probably the reason we haven't been in on Santana, this was probably in the works for a while. 2. I wish that opt out was not in the contract, but beggars can't be choosers! 3. It feels like Burnes, Adames and Williams just left the trade market. Will be fun to have a true all in year, especially if we can add just one more big bat somehow! Burnes and Adames will be playing for a contract, so hopefully they are on point all season! 4. This makes the Jake Bauers trade even more sucky. Just giving guys away for nothing... 5. It's funny how one big signing (by our standards) can renew our hopes and dreams for a BIG season!
  18. Awesome, this takes away any outside chance, any chance at all, that we would consider this guy! YES!
  19. Well, to be honest, that makes sense, but those of us in WI shouldn't have to do so.
  20. of course he will :( No way the Dodgers have any interest left in Burnes with all the starting pitching they have acquired.
  21. My TDS cable bill is $114 per month, which includes internet and landline (Yes, we still have a landline...lol) Like I said, I'm going to have cable regardless, so any added on streaming costs just makes me pay more money. Pretty easy concept really. It isn't just the $15-$20 to stream Brewers games, it would be on top of my TDS package. I choose not to have netflix, amazon, hulu, paramount plus, and all of the other countless streaming services. Add all those together, and I'm betting people are paying as much as my cable bill to get those services.
  22. All true, but no one is currently willing to pay ACE STUFF prices on the trade market. I have a feeling it's the same thing with Burnes.
  23. Personally, and I say this for selfish reasons, I am against any form of watching the Brewers that is going to cost me anymore money. I currently get all their games as part of my TDS cable package. I used to get Brewers games with Spectrum, but their pricing went through the roof, and they didn't mind that I left for TDS which was half the price, literally. (I find it hilarious that they call me once a month, and send endless flyers in the mail to get me back.) I pay nothing extra to watch the brewers as I would have TDS anyway. I enjoy that it is included in my viewing experience. It's bad enough that some of their games are now available for streaming only, and my guess is they start with a couple games, which turns into a few games, which turns into 1/4 of the season, you see where I'm going with this... This is just horrible for our senior fans. My Dad tunes into every game, and not being able to watch the streamed games drives him nuts as it is, but it's only going to get worse. I do not want to have to add a streaming service to watch the Brewers, PERIOD! It's just another fee, and another hassle. Above all, I am against any new service that I have to pay more money for. I'm tired of being nickel and dimed to death. People here saying they don't mind paying extra fees for this and that, that is fine for some, but not for others. I'm just plain tired of paying more money for anything that I already have.
  24. I am hoping that Wilken forces his way onto the roster by midseason. That may be a little lofty of an expectation though. I think Black is on the opening day roster.
