  1. Awesome, this takes away any outside chance, any chance at all, that we would consider this guy! YES!
  2. Well, to be honest, that makes sense, but those of us in WI shouldn't have to do so.
  3. of course he will :( No way the Dodgers have any interest left in Burnes with all the starting pitching they have acquired.
  4. My TDS cable bill is $114 per month, which includes internet and landline (Yes, we still have a landline...lol) Like I said, I'm going to have cable regardless, so any added on streaming costs just makes me pay more money. Pretty easy concept really. It isn't just the $15-$20 to stream Brewers games, it would be on top of my TDS package. I choose not to have netflix, amazon, hulu, paramount plus, and all of the other countless streaming services. Add all those together, and I'm betting people are paying as much as my cable bill to get those services.
  5. All true, but no one is currently willing to pay ACE STUFF prices on the trade market. I have a feeling it's the same thing with Burnes.
  6. Personally, and I say this for selfish reasons, I am against any form of watching the Brewers that is going to cost me anymore money. I currently get all their games as part of my TDS cable package. I used to get Brewers games with Spectrum, but their pricing went through the roof, and they didn't mind that I left for TDS which was half the price, literally. (I find it hilarious that they call me once a month, and send endless flyers in the mail to get me back.) I pay nothing extra to watch the brewers as I would have TDS anyway. I enjoy that it is included in my viewing experience. It's bad enough that some of their games are now available for streaming only, and my guess is they start with a couple games, which turns into a few games, which turns into 1/4 of the season, you see where I'm going with this... This is just horrible for our senior fans. My Dad tunes into every game, and not being able to watch the streamed games drives him nuts as it is, but it's only going to get worse. I do not want to have to add a streaming service to watch the Brewers, PERIOD! It's just another fee, and another hassle. Above all, I am against any new service that I have to pay more money for. I'm tired of being nickel and dimed to death. People here saying they don't mind paying extra fees for this and that, that is fine for some, but not for others. I'm just plain tired of paying more money for anything that I already have.
  7. I am hoping that Wilken forces his way onto the roster by midseason. That may be a little lofty of an expectation though. I think Black is on the opening day roster.
  8. Only one way we trade Burnes at the deadline, and that is if we are 100% out of the playoff hunt. This is my opinion of course. People keep posting to trade him at the deadline, but I don't see any way that happens if we are still competing.
  9. Yup, I do the same. Looking at my house (on the right side of my driveway), I do 20 to 30 feet of the street/curb, so when the plow comes, it has a place before my driveway to dump SOME of the snow before filling in my driveway. This doesn't solve the problem, but it surely lessons it.
  10. This would be a disappointing turn of events if true... Give me Santana over Votto but as long as Hoskins is still out there, I will keep dreaming on the 1% chance we get him...
  11. Oh Happy Day! Bring on those Lions!
  12. According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the Orioles have expressed interest in free agent southpaw James Paxton. The 35-year-old hurler made 19 starts for the Red Sox in 2023 — going 7-5 with a 4.50 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and a 101/33 K/BB ratio across 96 innings of work. The Red Sox have also expressed interest in bringing Paxton back, but overall his market has been fairly quiet this winter. Jan 13, 2024, 4:46 PM CST Source: Jon Heyman
  13. It is beyond me how anyone can defend the current system. Are some so trained to accept the unfair structure of this league that they have just been brainwashed into thinking everything is all right? I don't understand.
  14. Complete slow-down again for me. :(
  15. They are cheap, and they are prospect huggers. Pretty hard to get any players when you employ those two strategies...
  16. underpaid!
  17. overpaid junk.
  18. Why are you trying to trade one of them off already? How long has it been since we drafted and developed actual hitters, and you think we will trade one of them at the deadline? I sure hope you are wrong. We need to hang onto guys like Wilken and Black, especially since both can handle the infield corners, positions we have been desperate for for years.
