  1. Does it really matter? We are stuck with crap on a stick no matter what we do on that left side of the IF. Same crap on a stick applies to the bottom 3 of our batting order. How in God's name have we won as many games as we have? lol
  2. ESPN’s Jeff Passan said that Antonio Senzatela is “as good as gone” at this year’s MLB trade deadline. After being a well below-average starting pitcher, Senzatela moved to the bullpen this year and has been lights out, posting a 1.30 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and 26/10 K/BB ratio in 34 2/3 innings. Now, the lack of strikeouts remains a bit of a concern, but Senzatela has proven he can provide valuable length out of the bullpen and will be a free agent at the end of the season, so the Rockies will almost assuredly move him to a contender looking to shore up their bullpen. 2h ago Source: ESPN.com
  3. Tonight's game isn't the best one to use as an example of why Vaughn shouldn't hit against righties. No one looked good at the plate tonight, including all the lefties.
  4. Glad Murph's kid is at the press conference, just sitting there with such an important role.
  5. I also live about 10 minutes from the stadium. I go to around 25 games a summer. This line-up is fun to watch for sure!
  6. T-Rats single season HR record is 22, if Fischer stays in Appleton through June, he's gonna break it! (3 players share the HR record: Victor Roache, Clint Coulter, and Khris Davis)
  7. He's got a K problem, or I think he'd have been bumped up by now. HR #16 though!
  8. To be honest, I was surprised Harrison came out for the 6th with 85+ pitches after 5. I'm even more surprised he was allowed to go to 106 pitches.
  9. It's really a crapshoot these days getting autos pregame. There is only one little spot to the right of the T-Rats dugout, where you can pass items to the players to sign. Total drag getting autos since they put up the fencing/netting surrounding the entire field. As if that isn't bad enough, some of the big names just don't/won't come over to sign. Pena, Fischer, Dinges, Adamczewski and Payne rarely stop to sign, but a lot of the other players will. Out of those 5, Payne is probably the best at stopping over, but it's hit and miss. Your best bet for autos, bar none, is to go to the Sunday games for auto Sundays. After the Sunday games, all of the players come out to the designated picnic table area (1st base side pavilion) and sit at tables and sign. Some stick around for 5-10 minutes, and some will stick around a little longer, and some will stay until their lines dry up. Last week, Dinges stuck around until his line ended, he was out there probably about 15 minutes after all the other players had gone into the clubhouse. He's not the best at signing pregame, but is really friendly, and great about signing on auto Sundays. Quick story: Last year, the last Sunday game of the season, Made, Pena and Fischer were the 3 players down on the end. People started lining up well before the game even started for these three guys. Game ended, and those 3 players never came out to sign, not one of them. The people who waited in those lines stuck around for at least 30 minutes after the game, only to get none of them. Imagine waiting in a line 4+ hours only to get nothing, and miss the entire game as well. People were not happy to say the least. So far this season, if you want Pena, Fischer, or Payne, you have to start lining up right around the 5th inning or so to make sure you get them. I can't promise that though, the line could start sooner, or later. Just telling you what I have observed so far. They will be down on the end towards the playground. Those 3 players they put down there because their lines are just too much to handle for the area designated for autos, and those 3 are the most popular. They added Knoth to that group last week as well. Good luck!
  10. If we were talking about 1.5 seasons of Skubal, I could get behind giving up a heavy package, but for .5 of a season? Nah, I'm good. Teams like us can't mortgage our future for one guy because once he's gone, we still won't spend the money on another guy. We don't spend, which is why we have to rely on our farm to sustain us into the future.
  11. All the young guys I'm sure will be watched closely by the Brewers staff, but I do think that Miz shouldn't be taking the ball every 5 days all season. I think he needs to pitch on 6 days more frequently, but like I said, the staff is watching and keeping track, so all we can do is assume they have a handle on everything.
  12. What? Dude spends as much time on the bench as he does in the line-up. I think most consistent goes to Bauers and Turang, even though Turang had his recent slump.
  13. Erickson was notoriously conservative coaching 3B for the Timber Rattlers. I mean REALLY conservative. It doesn't surprise me that he is the same way with the Brewers.
  14. Trading away THE bat that has produced all season wouldn't be a good idea imo. Like someone said above, he's exactly the kind of player the Brewers would be looking to get at the deadline, and we already have him on our team. What sense would it make to trade him? Geez.
  15. Fischer is on a power binge, but striking out over 33% of the time in A+ ball. My guess is the Ks are the only thing keeping him from a AA bump. I really thought there was no chance that Fischer, Dinges, Pena, Adamczewski, and Payne would ALL still be in Appleton in June. Thought for certain that 2-3 of them would already be in AA by Mid May.
  16. What would have been the last season on Yelich's first contract had we not given him that extension?
  17. Whatever happened to Carlos Rodriguez the hitter? I always thought it was funny we had two different ones, one a pitcher and one a hitter, at the same time in our minor leagues. They actually even played on the same roster.
