  1. If he can play 3B, he'll be a Dodger. Dodgers have 1st rights to any Japanese player worth a damn. Baseball.
  2. I don't want to pile on here, but this makes no sense at all. Yelich playing in the field is over. Only in an emergency situation does he go back out to LF. We can't have 2 players that can only play DH, and Ozuna isn't even any better than Yelich to begin with. We don't want him anywhere near the OF so this just is baffling as to how you came up with him as an option, much less the "perfect signing." HARD PASS!
  3. You have Stearns on speed dial?
  4. My God, to be a Mariners fan right about now... Gut wrenching. Rooting for SEA, but I doubt it matters in the end as I don't think either team can hang with the Dodgers.
  5. Our society is deadlocked in hate. The dems hate the republicans (actually TRUMP) and the republicans hate the dems. There is very little middle ground these days, you are either one or the other or you just don't care, or even bother to pay attention. So sick of politics taking over every faction of our lives, it's disturbing, and a bit sickening.
  6. I just don't think 3 at 50 million is going to get this done. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict his next contract is al least 6 years, at 25 million per. 6 years at 150 million, and that might be light. I could see a 7 year 200 million deal as well. Both of which out prices the Brewers. I think it's a dangerous mind game to play with ourselves to think we have a chance to either extend him for a home team discount, or even extend him for market value (impossible). It just isn't going to happen as long as there are teams out there willing to pay him what he thinks he is worth on the open market. Nothing wrong with seeing what we can get in the off season, and if those offers aren't good enough, keep him, and let him anchor the 2026 squad.
  7. I love that trade idea, but it's going to be far too rich for the Mets. I'd be happy with Tong and Williams. How do the two of those players stack up against Ortiz and Hall that we got for Burnes? Again, I like the thought, but not a chance they give up that much for one year of Freddy when they can wait a year, and sign him in free agency.
  8. Dude, how many times are you going to post this? We've all seen it, multiple times, we get it. Geez.
  9. Nope, I'm not a Packers fan, although I'm pretty sure there is a thread here in the off topic forum if you are really interested. Google some of my user names? Kind or cringey, creepy and weird, but have at it...
  10. If so, is it worth it? I am considering doing something like this in the summer, and would like to hear from anyone who has done it in the past.
  11. This is a baseball board, but I'm sure if you look real hard, you can find a Bears board to post on. I give you credit though, being a Cubs fan on a Brewers board, and still checking in is commendable.
  12. I only want to move him if someone is willing to pay up. By pay up, I mean by us getting a BIG bat for the OF or 3B in return that is MLB ready NOW! That is our need, a BIG BAT! To be honest, if all we can get for him is the equivalency of DL Hall and Joey Ortiz, then I'd rather hang onto him for his last season. His value to the starting rotation is far greater than another Hall and Ortiz, especially with all the talent that is going to be knocking on our door after this season.
  13. I don't have any quotable sources, but I've read over the years that he can be a difficult teammate. Understandable, really, he puts out a bit of a selfish vibe if you ask me. As far as him being likeable, that is an opinion, I have never quite been able to warm up to him as a person. He just isn't a guy that you immediately can get behind, like I said, it's an opinion. The roller coaster comment I made, isn't that pretty self explanatory? Did you not watch the guy in a Brewers uniform? Have you seen the season he just had with the Yankees, in a contract year no less? I don't want him back, been there done that. He isn't one of our greatest needs, and the money it would cost us, I'd rather put someplace else.
  14. Who is this CARLOS Quintana you speak of? I would not be interested in reuniting with Williams. I don't think he's a good clubhouse presence, I don't think he is very likable, and I just don't want to deal with the roller coaster ride he will surely send us on throughout the season. He'd have to be really cheap for me to even consider it, I mean REALLY cheap, and that isn't going to happen.
  15. This would be just perfect. Shine that light even brighter on what is wrong with MLB. Fork out another 200 million contract, and defer 90% of it into eternity. The fact the Dodgers can even entertain the idea of adding salary is gross, just absolutely GROSS. Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports that the Dodgers are expected to pursue Kyle Tucker in free agency this winter. It’s not a surprise, as Tucker is one of — if not the — top overall option available on the open market this winter. The Dodgers consider their outfield to be an area of need, at least relative to their completely stacked roster, so the two sides linking up would seem to make a great deal of sense. If the 28-year-old outfielder is serious about winning, joining a team that has been to two straight World Series while winning at least one of them, seems like a tremendous opportunity. 16. I'd be 100% fine with him just moving on from the Brewers all together. In fact, I hope that happens. Tired of part timers, I want my full time homer announcers damn it!
  17. What do we still owe Yelich, 3 years at 75 million? I'd definitely be willing to trade him just to get out from under that contract. Return doesn't even have to be great or good, I'd settle for decent. I might even settle for OK if it meant we drop that contract. However, if we aren't going to use that 75 million on another bat, then what's the point. I don't want to trade him so ownership can line their pockets with cash, I want to trade him so we can put that money to use on a different player or players.
  18. Ok, that's hilarious right there...lol
  19. Yeah, poor Dodgers, having to throw Blake Snell again in order to have to win the series...
  20. Do you still have them?
  21. Celebrity deaths don't usually effect me too much, but this one, this one does. KISS are easily my favorite group of all time, they tie into most of my childhood and teenage memories. They are basically the soundtrack to my life. RIP Spaceman...
  22. The 2025 Dodgers are a far cry for the 1982 Angels, and we have to win 4 straight, not 3. Sorry people, it's over.
