  1. True Detective: Season 1 was GREAT! Season 2 was horrible, couldn't wait for it to end. Season 3 was good, not as good as season 1, but 10x better than the crap show season 2 was.
  2. Maybe this will allow them to move Suter?
  3. Started watching Season 1 of Castle Rock yesterday. Can't stop watching! Good stuff.
  4. That is way too much money to sink into Segura. No thanks.
  5. ...and holding on to Ashby and Small. I fear that one or two of these guys might possibly be on the move for bats... Please no.
  6. Damn it, I would love to have brought him back on a deal like that... Dodgers signed RHP Jimmy Nelson to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. The Dodgers declined their $2 million option on Nelson following the 2020 season. The right-hander missed the entire shortened season after undergoing surgery on his lower back in early July. Bringing him back makes a ton of sense for the Dodgers as a low-risk, potentially high-upside move if he's able to regain his health. SOURCE: Alanna Rizzo on Twitter Dec 11, 2020, 7:33 PM ET
  7. Why does everyone on this thread seem to think "they know" what is going on financially with this team? It doesn't really matter what articles you pull up, what information is shared here, only a few select people know Mark A.financials, and thoughts, and no one on this board is one of those people. Lots of people talking about a lot of things and acting like they know the deal, but no one really does...(myself included) It is beginning to get quite comical.
  8. Just keep doing it. If they ask you about it or get you something you could always tell a white lie. Oh, she must have been mistaken, or we saw someone else do it once and we thought it was pretty neat and did it once also. Something along those lines. I think that's a great thing you are doing. You could also say you do it for many families in the community that you appreciate so they don't feel like it's out of pity or whatever. great suggestion... I'd probably ask Mrs. Kravitz to put a lid on it. tell her she ruined your plan and guilt her into shutting her mouth. I'd keep doing it though, regardless... It's a great thing to do!
  9. I highly doubt we will be paying even $10 million for a guy like Semien. I so wish we didn't have to deal with Garcia's salary this year...
  10. Do they offer that same discount for TV/Internet plans, or just cell service?
  11. So the T-Rats moved up to High A? NICE!
  12. Got this in an email from the Brewers today: Brewers Invite 2021 Minor League Affiliates Milwaukee Extends Invitations To Four Teams The Milwaukee Brewers have extended invitations to four Minor League teams to become affiliates in Major League Baseball's new player development structure. Receiving invitations are the Nashville Sounds (Triple-A), Biloxi Shuckers (Double-A), Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (High-A) and Carolina Mudcats (Low-A). "We are eager to invite these four teams and their communities to join with us in developing tomorrow's Brewers stars," said Vice President of Minor League Operations Tom Flanagan. "We have a strong development history with each, and we look forward to building upon it in the years ahead." Nashville previously served as the team's Triple-A affiliate from 2005-14, winning the Pacific Coast League championship in 2005. The Sounds play their home games at First Horizon Park in downtown Nashville, which opened in 2015. "We are excited to receive the invitation to become the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers today," said Sounds General Manager Adam Nuse. "Led by Mark Attanasio and David Stearns, the Brewers are an organization that places a strong emphasis on player development. The Sounds still need to have the overall agreement with Major League Baseball formalized before any affiliation can be finalized. Once that occurs, we look forward to building the relationship and re-introducing Milwaukee Brewers baseball to the City of Nashville." Biloxi has served as Milwaukee's Double-A affiliate since 2015, while Wisconsin has been the organization's Low-A club since 2009. The Brewers purchased the Carolina Mudcats in 2017. In 2021, Wisconsin would switch from Low-A to High-A and Carolina would switch from High-A to Low-A. "We are happy to continue the excellent relationship that has been developed with the Brewers," said Shuckers General Manager Hunter Reed. "This invitation ensures we have an opportunity to maintain our long-term partnership in Biloxi with a familiar organization, and we are excited for the years to come." "We are pleased to be invited to continue our partnership with the Brewers," said Timber Rattlers President Rob Zerjav. "We have had a very positive relationship with the team for the past 12 years and look forward to our ongoing affiliation."
  13. People like that sleep just fine, they don't care about anyone but themselves and their own personal wants and needs. These people are everywhere, not just in your area of WI. Our country has been infested with instant gratification for quite some time now, it's no surprise that people have zero self-control or care for the greater good of the community. If they want to go to the bar, they will go to the bar, who cares if you get the virus, infect others, that trip to the bar can't wait... Relates to people who simply can't stay off their phones while driving. Must check that text, must send that text, must search amazon even in traffic. People will do what they want, and don't care if they put others in danger. Instant gratification. Judging by behaviors before the pandemic, is it really surprising that people act like they do? It's disgusting really...
  14. I refused to believe that's the case, even though that's probably the case. this and that.
  15. Rinse and repeat, the life of a Brewers fan. *sigh*
  16. Smith from the Mets or furgitaboutit!
  17. The burden of being a Brewers fan...
  18. It might be the only guy we sign all off season.
  19. I find it humorous that we have a thread 4 pages long on signing a guy like Vogelbach. Baseball.
  20. What possible reason would the players have to be against the universal DH?
  21. If we go into this season hoping that Vogelbach is our answer, there will be a lot of disappointed Brewers fans in 2021.

  23. It is unbelievable that we still have no decision on the DH for 2021. That has a lot to do with decision making for roster construction. AL teams no big deal, BIG deal for NL teams though. I just don't get it.
  24. Makes too much sense to actually happen I'm afraid...
  25. Completely asinine and ilogical... Ranks right up there with starting Kotsay in CF in the same situation.
